They are on my handguards (T-3's) and the DM amber lights act as blinkers also. I demonstrate them in the last 3 minutes of this video

thanks for sharing this series of videos - I have ordered the Denali indicator/brake light set-up for the rear now; I have a few SW Motech and Wunderlich parts attached to my Pan Am and bought a dash cam that I have yet to fit

If you put a piece of hose or tubing over your drill bit leaving a little over the thickness your drilling it will prevent the drill from being sucked in further than you want

Thanks for your video! I ended up installing the T3s and the B6 w/CANsmart on my '22 PAS. I have the B6 programmed at 0% run, 100% stop with California flash (4 flashes then solid). Still deciding on what to put on the front, but it'll have a selective yellow lens.

Do you mind if I ask what year your PA is? I ordered a setup from Denali and actually had this horn in my cart, but they emailed me and said it would not work in my '23 because of the heat shield. I'd have to cut a part of it off to get it mounted 🤦🏽‍♂️

My PA is a 2022 model- I don't have the heat deflector on mine but I am looking at getting an after market one that sits closer to the fan so it won't interfere with the horn.

True story- I was on the highway the other day and I hit my left turn signal after looking over my shoulder and seeing it was completely clear. A moment after I signaled I heard this loud truck horn and it scared me because I hadn't seen any vehicles around me. I looked around again before changing lanes and still didn't see anyone- I realized I accidentally hit my own horn and scared myself 🤣🤣🤣

Why would you design a bike with the battery and electrics right behind the front wheel where’s it’s going to get covered in spray, stones mud etc ……madness !

Nice tutorial, you may jot realize this but with d.c. current flows from the negative battery terminal to the positive terminal. Think of it - output + input. Therefore we will disconnect the negative terminal from a battery first.

@@joshuacatron2 You are dangerously wrong. Functionally, electricity (current) flows from positive to negative in a DC circuit. Yes, free electrons of the conductor flow toward positive, but that is not useful for functional understanding of DC circuits. You remove the negative first, because the entire chassis of a vehicle functions as a negative bus bar which would be easy to bump with a tool while trying to remove the positive cable from the terminal. Bumping the chassis with a tool has no effect if you've first removed the negative cable, which separates the chassis from the negative terminal electrically.

In case I want to use the factory turn signals along with the T3s then where would those get plugged in ? Is it in the blank pass through?
@gertklay4648
@gertklay4648 8 ай бұрын
Thanks, I was a bit uncertain about the T3's because of the European standards, but I think I'm going to give it a go. Not sure yet if I'm going to lose the standard turning light yet. Is the special connecting harness also right for fitting them together with the standard turning lights?
@gertklay4648
@gertklay4648 8 ай бұрын
I would have fitted the T3's in the vertical middle of the hand guard part. You did not, is there a reason for that? And I don't like the fact that the screws are coming through the hand guards. It can hurt your hands... or not?
@MonMattMotoTravels-dj9ry
@MonMattMotoTravels-dj9ry 2 ай бұрын
Denali had them lined up with the top of that extruded center area so I did the same. It also makes it easy to keep the T3's looking level by aligning them to the top of the extruded area. But of course you can install them in a way that suits your preference. The screws do not come anywhere near your hands so its not a problem. They barely protrude through the plastic-just enough to make the lights secure.

I contemplated the SoundBomb but was told by Denali that I'd have to cut into the heat shield to make it fit. That turned me away from it.

You must have a 2023 model? My 2022 doesn't have the heat deflector that the new models do. If you ever changed your mind I imagine you could get one of those after market deflectors that fit right over the fan and then remove the OEM deflector to install the horn. I also read in a forum where someone said they were able to remove the OEM horn and install the SoundBomb in its location.
