Incredible composition. Holly's version does the song more justice than the original, bringing the song out of a "studio feel" to across the coffee table. She handles the lyrics as deftly as words in a conversation, with the skill of a Joni Mitchell or Nora Jones. I hope that this aspect doesn't get lost once she records a version she's happier with, and that she keeps things "choppy," to the extent the performance retains it's spontaneity and sweet feel of spiritual transcendence.

This song is about a girl from a village whose parents die and she goes to stay in the big city with her Aunt and Uncle, her new "Mami" and "Dadi" with the promises that they'll take her to school. But the Uncle starts abusing her. The chorus is the little girl telling "Dadi" that when "Mami" comes home, she's going to tell her that he has been touching her.
