Not looking to destroy the car in any way but I would like to make it run as good as I can. The header and pipe are redlines stuff he wanted me to try out I plan on doing a side exhaust and maybe a gear change to help off road Im currently im on vacation and im finding I would like more low end on it don't care to much to go fast.

A Kyosho Nitro Viper GT ,that’s dope dude🤟😎 To tune nitro boats even when you don’t forget the tuning screwdriver is on the beginning kind of tricky ,because the engine behavior acts completely different as soon it is on load on the water.Let me give you a little advice: As soon as the engine is running on load on water the mixture which is reaching the combustion chamber gets a lot „richer“ because of the lower rpm the engine runs on the Same trottle setting as soon as it’s under load ! I’ve run between other nitro related stuff some nitro boats, some of them I’ve already uploaded here on my little KZbin channel ,feel free to check these like my Kyosho Lamborghini C1 cat frp 😊 However,if you run in issues or have further nitro boating related questions ,just ask, since I’m always happy to see other guys running nitros on 💦💥

@@dereksgarage1856 I use to bring an rc rescue boat with me for the case that I must recover one of the boats I would say that it’s almost easier and safer to build a rescue boat, In fact it would be enough if you put on a dirt cheap little electric boat a slightly tilted pool noodle or some kind of a longer foam piece on his front😉 Because the downside on a „recovery system“ is the extra weight and also the fact that you wouldn’t have the capability to recover it if it flips😊

I remember these! I’ve still got an air streak although it’s got more repairs than original hull! That margarine tub abs isn’t made for decades of use. it ended up being brushless swapped for it’s last run’s before retirement

No the rod is not broken from what I can tell. I haven't been able to pull the head off to check the top end. The engine locked up when I was trying to start at home. I am hoping the it was just the fly wheel being loose and the crank then wasn't help on place and the rod just took off the edge of the case material. All that said I don't really know if the engine is toast or just beat up a little and will be ok once I clean it out.

@@dereksgarage1856 it sounds like the edge of the crank has been catching on the bottom of the crank case. on the 15cv there’s a shim on the inside of the back plate it goes between the backplate bushing and the starter shaft check to see if it’s still there and hasn’t fallen off have a look at the piston and sleeve and check the rod bushings there could be more damage in there.

The problem with the gear mesh on those is that the chassis is too flexible, you can adjust the mesh by pulling back on the top of the rear shock tower ;))) still got mine, also still have the Nitro Street with the old traxxas engine. Havent ran in decades, but fun as heck machines. I e always wanted to try one with a steering gyro. PS omg apologies for the horrible spelling I just noticed 🫶

As for tuning the small guys, keep the low leaner and the top rich. Adjust the idle stop lower, do t try to bring the idle down with just the low speed by richening it. Rich idle is less stable and prone to stall. Take the filter off, lower the idle gap for more control. Make sure you see good puffs of smoke on throttle blips. No filter helps visually confirm whether the gap is already minimal or could be reduced, tune to a stablest idle at the lowest gap (opening) 🔥👍

Awesome job man👍 i think the rock crawler suspension with the inner springs would work for your front forks? (Like what you have on the rear) They'd definitely look the part! But with working front forks wheelies might be in your future for sure a little bit of droop and travel you might be designing wheelie bars too. Keep it up man 👍👍👍

After I lowered the rear and removed the weights its much more predictable. Some thing else that will help is making my own front forks . no front end suspension makes it really bumpy upfront. Which can throw the trike over
