I can't tell you how many different things we have tried to correct that pitch of the ball. Thought it was that he didn't have enough follow through. We just watched this and did a quick 5 min trial to see how it would improve. Let me tell you what it improved his pitch 100%. It was his wrist that were dropping. Thank you very much for this video! Going to implement this adjustment this evening for practice.

Skipped the leather conditioner and then the MLB mud step. Shaving cream is just to help take the dye out. You need the conditioner to soften the leather and the mud makes the leather tackier/less slippery and has minerals in it that help the leather as well, and makes it darker, that's why it only comes from a specific spot in NJ off the Delaware River. I'm guessing the tac bar is a substitute for those steps, and it doesn't require a heat gun, but there's no substitute for the real thing.

Definitely need the mud n conditioner. Shaving cream really just takes dye off.

What works on a composite leather football to make it tacky again? Does the tack bar work for composite leather?
@airmobiledivision7759
@airmobiledivision7759 Жыл бұрын
I believe so. You’re just spreading the tack around in the surface of the ball/into the “pores” to give it more grip in your hands.

How long do you wait before brushing after applying the shaving cream
@SpecialTeamsU
@SpecialTeamsU Жыл бұрын
You can leave it on for a few minutes and let it dry, I like to rub it in so there’s not usually a lot left when I brush it again.

Baseball mud works the best. But shaving cream is a more accesible replacement. Just do the process more and it will replicate the mud being on there for the 24 hours

@SpecialTeamsU
@SpecialTeamsU 2 жыл бұрын
@@colin8952 we don’t teach the slide back. If you watch any other throwing or striking sports, creating a block and controlling your body is extremely important. When you try to lock your legs hard, slide, or hop back you lose the ability to efficiently transfer energy from your body into the ball.

Wow at 0:52 you can see where the long snapper really made that play happen- perfect snap then ran down the field unopposed, looking crazy like the Waterboy and made the returner defensive and hesitate. Finished the play with a follow up tackle. Really enjoyed this, thanks for posting
