If you're going to buy a car and not drive it then sell it what's the point of owning a car just to stare at it😂

Nice I don’t think I could have found that myself definitely a weird failure and likely has to do with the very small amount of current from multimeter testing capacitance interacting with dielectric material inside capacitor.

The problem is paying a shop for hourly diag, if the tech ends up being an idiot I have to pay more for their stupidity.

That's old school. My step dad said they used the model t coils for the first security systems in the forties on their cars. Saud it was alot of fun.

Cars are overly designed and designed so no one can fix them anymore. Cars have become disposable.

How how I love this video. I had a client send me the 6 trouble codes on the car from when there friend scanned it. When I sent a diagnostic estimate they said why do I have to pay for a diagnostic I gave you the codes…. 🤦🏻♂️

I have no problem with paying for diagnostic unless I'm having that shop doing the diagnostics do the job then as far as I'm concerned it was a part of the work I'm paying you for

You can't use digital meter to test a Cap. You need an Analog meter

I always either have someone pump the brakes or use the vacuum however I really want the pressure bleed tool because I need to flush my fluid soon and that set up is freaking awesome.

My buddies did it. Will tapped the lifter with a old pushrod and got it to unstick. Programmed it off and he’s still rolling 5 years later. Got lucky on that one

I had this same kinda issue on a duramax lml for some reason the speed limiter would keep going down and down slowly 1mph for every mile all the way down to 35mph limit you could stop and it would restart the process no codes or light would run great hrs of testing and flashing turns out the factory dash diag code was wrong and since the truck was flashed it started the problem changed the OS of the whole system and it fixed it

Okay that's great when you don't know the problem. I had a coolant temperature sensor going bad on a 19 acadia and knew it. I had pulled the code, and all the things happening lined up. Every shop around here except 1. Wanted 175+ to diagnose it. All I wanted done was them to change the sensor. But they all said not without the 175+ diagnosis fee. That's when it's criminal.

Gotta love weird issues. My work car has a battery light on that only comes on when it’s below freezing out and only in the morning when it’s dark. Checked everything and all at 14.6+ with the light on. Shits a mystery, I just roll with it now.

Better get the camera out for absolutely no reason just in case something happens, oh look, something that would never happen is happening so I should film it and upload it to social media to see if I can make a quick buck. FAKE, wake up people!

Reminds me of the time when I was an aviation electrician. We had a slow day and started thinking about stupid things to do. The chairs in the office had some bare metal on the arm rests. So I got some wire, a switch, a potentiometer, and a battery. Wired up the chair and covered everything in tape so nobody would be the wiser. If you sat in that chair and leaned back while your arms were on the rests, you'd get a damn good shock. One of my favorite times I got chewed out.
