you should definitely look to upgrade that wheelstand if you plan to do more than drifting. I halve my alpha mini bolted to my nlr 2.0 stand and do tons of drifting, mixed with some racing and also rally. Even on the 2.0 stand when racing, a strong ffb signal will cause a vibration felt through the entire stand. It stays sturdy but that vibration travels into the floor and can be quite noisy.

I saw in your "community" tab but pictures are square cutted so can only see half of them, or if you have different drift presets for AC on SimPro Manager you can export and share the .json files so I can Import and save them for testing? I highly recommend trying the Doorbreaker'z Evo 3 car pack - some of them handle better than others, but they all handle well - and they look and sound amazing. There's a Chaser in that car pack, with a golden Enjuku livery, that sounds completely and utterly bat***t insane. It's the most insane sounding car I've heard in AC. I spent weeks drifting it just because of how great it sounds. It also feels great; a bit cheaty but not too bad. I think it's meant to be an RB26 swap in that car but I've no idea if RB26es can sound as crazy as that. Try it, it's worth it.
@thesprawl23613 ай бұрын
Four years ago when I started drifting in AC I had no idea how to learn, and I'd just fallen in love with drifting in Fora Horizon, so my instinct was to go with the most powerful cars, like I did in FH, and drift on touges, like I did in FH too. So I basically learned to drift in AC by drifting comp cars like this along touges like Tsuchisaka, and Tsukuba, Happogahara. Such a weird way to learn, and not great for learning how to tandem, but it really helped me focus foremost on control of the car and left-foot braking especially. It was only last year that I started drifting online and getting into the lower-powered cars, and learning to love them too. The VDC cars are a big step up - they are very pure. There are lots of comp car packs that soften the transitions, make them much slower. VDC absolutely don't do that lol - you just have to deal with that quick snap, and you have to deal with them gripping up very quickly. So I wouldn't say they're easy to drive. Maybe they're easy to drive, but hard to drive well.

The reson no one likes this is because of arch physics. Its garbage.
@thesprawl23613 ай бұрын
They're not garbage. But they don't understand what makes for an enjoyable virtual drift car. They're so obsessed with getting the right IRL stats, but they don't understand how to make those IRL stats translate into something enjoyable to sim-drift Also, the guy who created the Arch car physics is a giant douche
@sxdattxb3 ай бұрын
Good video! But Arch physics is a joke. Especially for "low powered" car in this pack. Why would you put thin old ECO tires on a car if its not 130hp rustbox? It might be somewhat interesting for some people to throw around this junk on a flat small track like meihan for example or the track that vid author is drifting. But for any touge or close tandeming its just a really wrong choice and people praise this physics basically for being hard to drive, not for being any close to real world scenario. If your car is over 200hp then using this sort of tyres is just a dumb idea. Irl be like "oh, you put gorrilion yen in tuning 4age to unreal 230hp n\a and another gorillion into chasiss tuning and other parts but dont have spare change to buy some good tire?". If it would have stock power cars in 90s category with this sort of tire it wouldve make sense. But this feels like only thing arch physics author drove before is a shopping cart, drifting thru mtn dew and doritos isles... Anyone who drifted irl would tell you this - this tyre and power combo is just dumb. Also the threshold of wheel getting loose in angle and in transitions is way too big, like the car keeps squatting like weirdly tuned FD mustang and theres no grip on fronts even if you shift enough weight to it right after transition. Rn only DWG gets its sorta right, but their aero just not there and some other small things.
@AfroFujiwara3 ай бұрын
Thanks man I respect your opinion and I do agree with some of the points you made.
@thesprawl23613 ай бұрын
Arch Physics don't understand the difference between a sim and real life. They think you just input the exact parameters from the real cars and then the virtual cars will behave exactly the same, and anyone who doesn't enjoy them well they're just noobs who need to git gud. Truth is they handle awkwardly and transition jerkily; they're just not that fun to drive. The V2 arch cars are much better than the V1s, but they're still not that enjoyable.

I suggest using the Toyota Mark II. It's the easiest car to learn stock tune. Focus on throttle, it's one of the main reason I would oversteer alot.

@@BackwardEvolution which do you think is easier ,drifting at t300 or sigamic?
@isaiahharris10294 ай бұрын
@@BeroTTo So my first wheel was the thrust master TMX, which was gear driven. Then the TS-XW, which was belt driven and was a decent wheel. But I currently have the simagic alpha mini and it made driving so much easier. The amount of detail combined with how much faster the wheel can keep up with the physics makes driving the more realistic and challenging cars more practical. So the simagic is going to be way easier to drift with. Plus, they use an NRG style quick release. So you can use any 5 bolt after market steering wheel you want. Which is pretty much any pouplar brand of steering wheel. I'm legit using the MOMO steering wheel/NRG quick release from my car on the wheel base lol
@thesprawl23613 ай бұрын
@@BeroTTo You'll immediately improve if you get a direct drive. Not like over a week or a month - I mean within minutes. It's just so much smoother and you can feel where you should be countersteering and when you're beginning to grip up. DD is definitely easier.

@AfroFujiwara4 ай бұрын
I only used thrustmaster tx (same as the t300) and Simagic. I wouldn't necessarily say one is easier to drift with than the other. But I would recommend just buying DD Wheel before buying a T300.
@thesprawl23613 ай бұрын
Upgrade to a Direct Drive. A T300 isn't a direct drive I don't think; it's gear driven or something, so don't go for that if you can afford a DD instead. Other than direct drive, make FFB strength your priority. More torque, more control. Fanatec DD Pro is fantastic - It's what I still use. I've upgraded to a DD+ but I haven't installed it yet because the DD Pro is so good.
