I never really expected anything grand, it's kinda a tradition for shounen manga to have bad romance plotlines, but after 429 chapters of build up, it just went nowhere.

I will give Horikoshi some slack, considering how this might be the longest Epilouge a shounen manga has had(7-ish chapters) when most get 1-2. It just annoys me how two of the most important aspects of the story are rushed when it could have been prevented with a bit of changes here and there. Still, I am sure he will be able to stick the landing with the final chapter.

No, I know Denji never erased Makima, if he did Nayuta wouldn't exist. I am more so saying that Barem wants to test if the erasure ability could also be used by Denji and not just the Hero of Hell form. But him wanting to make Denji hate food is an interesting theory and a way to look at it. I think it's to early to say what Fami is planning to do with Denji/Chainsaw Man for now though.

@@mozaharhauqe78 I think it depends on wether there would be more parts after this one. If there aren't, at least one of them is dying, but if there is a part 3 and up, then it becomes more tricky to figure out their fates.

@@yorginsta2751 Not ironically, I liked it. Yoru has this characteristic of being more aggressive, so this confession made sense.

@@Causality01 I liked it too, it's just something you wouldn't really expect to see in a shounen. I love how although on the surface it's just a kiss/handy scene, if you delve deeper you can interpret it in different ways. I see it as Denji finally getting to experience a sexual act in a "normal" way, while you can also say that Yoru sexually assaulted Denji and Asa by using her body in this way. Fujimoto definitely has a weird way of writing, but it is still amazing.

While I still enjoy it, despite it's slower pace, especially when compared to Part 1, I cannot lie that the weekly/biweekly format is really damaging my enjoyment of the story. Sadly, that isn't just a CSM problem, but weekly manga as a whole. Arcs that I hated/felt like they dragged (like the final arc of Gotoubun), once they finished and I reread them in one go, were actually enjoyable. I will wait and see how the story turns out, but yea, it's good but quite slow.

Wait till it hits close to the ending I bet it will be peak we ain't seen all the tricks the author has up his sleeves yet

Its literally set up. Your expectations are based on Part 1, wich is a completely different story from Part 2 in themes and pacing. Part 1 was literally a greek tragedy in structure, with comedian elements before it hit its final act. The characters and plot are quite literally are geared toward this the entire plot. It still has coming of age sprinkled in, but the quick pace is all a lead up to the tragedy (wich was peak). Part 2 on the other hand is almost entirely focused on characters development, coming of age and developing the new cast of characters. Denji is not the Protagonist anymore, wich sets him up to possibly dying at the end of the story. We still dont know if the final act of Part 2 will be a tragedy, but its heavily implied. And its still in its set-up stage, as in-universe they still literally have like 5 months until the thing the plot has been building towards actually happens.

I mean it was this way jn part 1 too, it only got kinda good in the assasin arc
