I have the hms javalin and reproduced all metal detail parts in cast resin. With destroyers anything above the water line has to be very light No metal parts

it's a nice model however should not the after gun have it's barrels facing aft not towards the bow? most photo's and museum destroyer's I have seen have the after gun mount facing the stern. so wondered if this ship should not had been the same way.

Ironic, I bought all the stuff to make an R/C stern wheeler myself last year around Christmas and as it does life cropped up. But I am dusting off the parts and starting work on it again. good luck!

This USN veteran who spent a great amount of his youth working a needle gun aboard ships can tell you that it is the best looking rust I've ever seen on a scale model.

I watched this video earlier this year and took your experience to power a 1970 cica Swedish lifeboat these brushless motors are so incredible I used a belt drive from Amazon 2.5:1 and it all went very well crazy sailing time and super seed control. Thanks for the push I needed.

Great video, just viewed it in November 2021. I like the idea of using the LiPo battery and lighter motor to save weight... this should make it easier to trim heavier ballast if needed deeper in the hull and help get the Center of Gravity lower in the hull where it will do the most good!

I used to sell those electronize speed controllers here in Melbourne and these can be adjusted for slow speed or faster depending on the use needed. To be honest, it all depends on the motor used, I use printer motors on my model boats and they use stuff all power and I can have them just very slowly turning over and have full control. These motors you are using do not like 6v gel cell batteries and I use them for power and ballast. Each to their own I guess.

Any links on how to hook that up. I have a few dead printers

Only two small seacoast based holes required . . . . Far less drag. Far less risk of sinking. Would also cost way less. Why are there not bow and stern thrusters available that use this principle???

Can I suggest you try real rust? I use steel wool soaked in vinegar for a week. Dry it out and it reduces into a rust powder. Use meths to apply and brush in with a hard bristle brush.... It gets that lovely shine of old rust and continues to change
