Anyone know what causes eye twitching ONLY when you close your eyes? I don’t notice any twitching when they are open. I have what I call a resting head tremor (tremor when sitting or standing still and the tremor turns into making me restless when lying down like it is still there but internal). I have been diagnosed as ET at age 50; it was spontaneous and technically started at age 46 after a low dose of fluoxetine for less than 2 weeks. I just don’t understand the eye twitching when I close my eyes. My eyes don’t seem to twitch when they are open. I really think the eye twitching and head tremor are somehow connected. Seems as if they never happen at the same time. Either my eyes are twitching or my head is shaking. I move almost anything fast enough (arms, legs, head, etc.) and the tremor seems to disappear and so does the eye twitching. I have been researching this and coming up empty…one neurologist even accused me of lying to him about the eye twitching (I got a second opinion)..same diagnosis. Thanks in advance for any replies!

My left hand started several years before the right my dominant hand. Unfortunately I am not a candidate for the ultrasound surgery - my skull is too thin. Have now completed 3 series of botox injections in my arms and also jaw muscles for chin tremors. Handwriting huge improvement as well as toothbrushing. Chin tremors improved so easier to swallow when drinking from a glass. Down side is hand weakness - very distressing especially in hand tasks in kitchen. I feel sad. I was just diagnosed with TNBC. The biopsy was horrible. It left very large bumps. I am very worried about this. I will be starting Chemo on Thursday next as I am getting a port on Tuesday. I have to get 12 weeks of Chemo. I am 65 and Caucasian. Very worried. After the chemo treatments I will have a double Mastectomy.
