EGR systems are stupid. If the car has 'unburnt' fuel then it should be tuned better to make use of that fuel. Not shove some ridiculous over-sized valve on the exhaust and then feed that back into the intake! The EPA guy who came up with that design must be laughing his ass off by now.

they likely used a 3/4" impact to put them on at 800ft lbs ..you need a 3/4" breaker bar, about 40" long, and instead of steady pressure 'fall on it' to pop it loose ..

While I understand what you are trying to do you will actually end up with either a cracked sand filter or pump prematurely by reducing the discharge line to a garden hose, this may even void your warranty.

I’m pretty sure you want to maintain the 1- 1/2 line all the way out anytime discharging water from the pool you may end up with way to much back pressure and that may cause premature damage to your new system.

Don't ever do what this guy did, he's dumb as fuck If you have a car newer than 2007 it WILL throw check engine codes for your clock spring alignment. Ask me how I know

***If this helps someone*** I tried the radiator cap on and opened overflow tank - full blast defrost and let it run for maybe 40minutes! It went through many sounds lol.. I just did this cause of this recommendation and it blew the motor up in my 4 Runner. Although I did rev the engine up a couple times. It drove fine until I revved it up and it blew all to pieces. Currently in the shop getting a junk yard engine 😢

Nice info and all but my problem is I guess I was expecting that one to be bad. Why in gods name did you remove it if you didn't think it was bad? I was kind of hoping to see a bad one tested. I'm having all sorts of engine lights come on my car. I've already replaced the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors but still getting random misfires, loss of power, dies at idle. But then sometimes it kicks in and works fine. My last resort is to change this VVT solenoid but wanted to check it first. Hoping mine doesn't act like yours so I know it's bad and this new one will fix the problem.
