The CMOS in an actual line film scanner is much better. The software can take out scratches and dust by IR, balance color for the type of film, restore faded color, and minimize grain. Just scanning is the least amount of time. The post-processing is where the time is.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I am about to try to fix my old sewing machine with the same problem, feed dog gear broken. Do you know if I can find online the appropriate gear for my Singer Starlet 495? It is a very old model and the local shop doesn't have it on its records to order the appropriate part. It would be good to know if I can still find the spare parts. Thank you so much

Hi, obviously I'm no sewing machine repair expert, I got my parts off EBAY for anyone who was wondering, the description was "4x Gear 163997 103363 Feed Drive Shaft Set Fit for Singer 1492 2001 2005 2010" and the seller was "mitou1" out of China. Sorry I can't help you much, other than hunting down clues on the internet. Regards Dean

Thank you so much for posting this. I have a Singer 502 and the feed dog gear had sheared in the same way as the one in the video. My usual repair shop is shut due to covid so I ordered the parts and followed your instructions. My 2 horizontal axles were a little stiff/unco-operative and the 502 power block has an additonal wire so it doesn't pop out of the way as neatly as the one in the video. Other than that, I was able to easily follow your lovely clear instructions, helped by your very useful close-ups showing exactly what you were doing. I found sorting the timing of the feed dogs/needle a little tricky, but kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZa0g4eaq9mAesk suplemented the helpful information in your video and I got it sorted out. I was then caught out by the bobin hook timing. Undoing the bobin gear at the end of the long horizontal axle and messing about with the feed dogs timing had thrown things out slightly. This meant that the needle now caught on the plate under the bobin holder, as the hook moves round. Although it's a video for a different sewing machne model, kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWmngquphL-co7s showed me what was happening and gave me the pointers I needed to fix it. I undid the grub screws for the drive belt, feed gears and bobin gear on the horizontal axles. I aligned both the feed dogs and the needle and tightened the feed dog gear grub screws. I fixed the alignment of the needle and the bobin hook so that timing would be correct by moving the needle into place and adjusting the bobin hook into the correct alignment before tightening the bobin gear and drive belt grub screws. Once everything was tightened up, I gave the whole machine a clean/dust and oil before reassembling and to my suprise, it works fine. I am delighted! Thank you so much for your video. (I didn't replace the bobin gears as they're fine but, thanks to you, I now know how to do these when they need doing and you've given me the confidence to know it's something I can do myself.)

Thanks for sharing, I've just picked up a Singer 437 with broken drive gears, similar set-up to your machine but different things need removed to slide out the shaft that is driven by the belt. Just a quick question, when you replaced the 2 bevel gears did you need to reset them to correct the bobbin hook/needle synchronisation?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, something was not set right in youtube & I didn't get notified of your message. Yes, unless you are really lucky you will have to check/set the timing. Regards Dean

Hey guys I need some help. I use the Xenyx X1204usbfx for live djing and Karaoke. Here is my issue. I use the Phones/Control room output for my booth monitor. For some reason if I use an effect on any channel, (mainly mic delay fx for singers) I cant here the effect through my Phones/Control Room Monitor output. The Main outputs work fine. Effects and all. I can hear everything except the effects. I could use the tape output but theres no control over the volume. Ive tried everything. Mono/Stereo plugs, Main mix button pressed others off and visa versa. Any help would be great. Thanks

Which one is better for karaoke recording at home and occassional karaoke parties? QX1222USB or QX1204? I don't need too many inputs, but I'd like to be able to record the performances too, PREFERABLY, with live voices affected by EFX processor, but the final mix signal sent to the computer without effects.

Too much information at one time. Think of beginners! I began to get a headache! What about basics - like connection to speakers. Is this a powered mixer?
@MDTV36 жыл бұрын
Hi, definitely not aimed at beginners, there is a lot of good videos by others for entry level, this video was aimed at those who own this mixer who want to understand how to use it. Mixing in general is a long learning, I've been doing it for years and always learn more all the time.....
