I got lucky with my swap, Foxwood open wraith, racer, dfx longhorn, money buzzz, jay, and a r-pro f2 wahoo In return I had sent out 12 discs plus a starter set As to what happens in the case of getting grinched via base plastic or people not getting the discs in the mail trash panda has a group of volunteers that will send out a secondary package for you, this year you’d have to wait to report until January 2nd for mia packages As a tertiary note signing up for the swap puts you into a raffle and sending in the confirmation of your package being sent out via trash pandas website nets you a second entry into the raffle.

That sounds like a solid swap you got for sure! You also were very kind with yours which is awesome too! I actually saw about the grinched thing in another video which I thought was awesome of Trash Panda and the volunteers as well.. overall such a cool program. I can’t wait for next year😅

Thanks for the advice...i need all i can get. Im doing a 90 day challenge and ill be putting your tips in my practice daily. I was going to post my journey but i dont have time to edit and post because that will take away from my practice. I have a tech disc and i just hit 300' for the first time with 2 weeks of practice. Thanks

you think some of the other color combos would be less beefy? i bought 2 of them to support gavin and i dont have the arm speed like you but to me the blue and green one seemed to be the most overstable out of mine but then again it could be me not being consistent
@GingerSnapDiscGolf19 күн бұрын
I wouldn’t surprised if that were the case! I don’t quite understand what causes it, but it seems to be very common for different colors to cause different stabilities.. if the blue and green are the beefiest that makes me feel better too 😂

I still have such a problem watching my shot, even when telling myself not to. I definitely am not patient with my plant foot either. I noticed that watching my form in slow motion and comparing it to pros, they are much slower from reach back into the power pocket. For my slow motion, I find it hard to even pause the video between reach back and the power pocket. I do it too fast.
@GingerSnapDiscGolf21 күн бұрын
I still struggle trying to watch my shot too, I just played some in Utah on a trip today and felt myself looking at my shot instead of pulling through.. I think we all have contact struggles in the sport! Just gotta keep practicing though and having fun!

So through various parts of my form journey I’ve alternated between pushing the disc away and pulling through because I’m prone to collapsing the power pocket when I try to pull, and if I push through, it helps maintain scapular protraction, which gives me more consistent distance, but I agree that pulling through tends to be more accurate.
@micdavey24 күн бұрын
I think there's a language issue here because when Jordan says "pushing the disc through" I think he's talking about what is more commonly called over-rotation, early rotation, or just plain rotating the torso with the arm vs trying to separate or slow torso rotation relative to the throwing arm. For me it's easier to think about stopping my trailing shoulder instead of trying to pull my arm through faster -- easier in that I get much better results. And I agree with you in that I also throw more accurately and farther when I keep shoulder protraction and get good elbow extension.
@Joeaxtell24 күн бұрын
@ so I voice typed that at a stop light and didn’t proofread. So many errors 🤦♂️ I understand what he’s getting at with it but what I’m trying to say is currently when I get to the hit point I’m mentally thinking about pushing my hand there versus pulling it thru at least for now. It comes and goes based on what I see when I record my form.
@GingerSnapDiscGolf24 күн бұрын
Thank you both for the input! Yea when I say push through I am referring to rotating the shoulders without ever creating a separate motion with the arm, or rotating to early or yes even over rotating! My brain just bunches all of that together into “pushing instead of pulling” and that’s cool how what works for you is thinking about stopping your off shoulder! Because when I do that I actually throw much worse and collapse the pocket but thinking about pulling helps me 😂
@GingerSnapDiscGolf24 күн бұрын
I think changing what you think about based on how your form is currently working can be a good thing as well, my mental cues change from time to time!

IMO the Glitch is hands down the best disc for this exercise. It is so naturally neutral that it will show you exactly what hyzer angle and nose angle your throwing. The idea here is to align how you think you're throwing with how you're actually throwing.
@GingerSnapDiscGolfАй бұрын
Would you believe I have still yet to throw a glitch.. 😂 I have almost bought one so many time but just don’t. I like that thought process too if aligning how you think you throw with how you actually throw!
@kannonball8866Ай бұрын
Once you have a fast enough arm speed, if you stick to just throwing putters and mids, then you won’t gain any distance. To gain distance past 400 ft, you need to start pushing your body to see how much force you can get out and not worry about perfect form. Aggressive is key.
@GingerSnapDiscGolfАй бұрын
Since I have gotten past 400 I have noticed you have to really start thinking about throwing quicker and more powerfully if you want more distance.. 400ish can be done with just good mechanics but 450+ needs power!
@luftisbollenАй бұрын
I think they go full power on putters thats the goal, its like practise with weights, it push you to throw farther, and when you switch to driver or mid again it feels so much better but you need to throw only putters for 1 to 4 weeks, it will help you with the wobbler and clean release. Thats my opinion. If you can throw putters on any course you will get better, because putters is harder to throw.
@GingerSnapDiscGolfАй бұрын
I haven’t heard it like that before, that’s a good way of thinking about it! Throwing putters and mids only definitely push you throw farther if you are playing longer holes! I do think throwing putters only could help with wobble too 😄
