I keep seeing 144 everywhere lately. This video has 144k views. The other day I talked to a coworker about Donnie Darko. I reached the part of the song stamped “no mail today”. For some reason I was curious where it was from because there was a peculiarity of a pastime. Not that I remembered it from somewhere, just felt like it was from a simpler time, different from today’s world. So I looked it up, and sure enough it was from Donnie Darko. Life’s good. I had to quit college in 2019 and i am finally back in college after five years doing what i love to do and right when i got out of class this video came up on feed. it was and epic moment for me so thank you and i hope all of you are living a life that you always wanted to live

I sometimes wonder how many times I've actually listened to this playlist. I remember it was my daily go-to, back in 2017, before the original got taken down. It just shocked me to see that this 'new' version has already been uploaded for 4 years now too, its crazy how fast time flies. I remember listening to it with the 16 year old teenage mindset that life is for the taking, that the whole world is ours to explore. Now I'm nearing 23 and I'm only just starting to live. I never thought I'd listening to this playlist in my own apartment, where I live with the loml; or on the train commute to a university I never thought I'd be going to, to pursue a career I thought could only be a dream... Hopefully, this soundtrack follows me as well for the rest of my life.

I believe this mix changed my life and outlook on music. I've always loved music, don't get me wrong. Hell, I even collect a lot, and did so around the time I discovered this mix that introduced me to lo-fi. Something about this mix makes me feel safe, happy and at home and it brings a special feeling that I don't think I've ever felt before by any piece of music (other than my favourite album "Skylight" by Pinegrove - had to sneak that in lmao). I've decided to even try to start making music too, and I want to capture the same feelings I feel with this little mix.
