It’s too bad he made his character more like Depp with all the exaggerated movements and putting emphasis into their voice like we’re trying too hard to keep 4 year olds attention. Depp’s Wonka is too silly and childish and cringe whereas Wilders Wonka is calm, collected, and doesn’t have to overact to convey that he still embraces his inner child. We’ve yet to have a proper Wonka since then
