As a big fan of the OG show, I’m liking this remake too. But the new actor playing Rika looks a lot like my first love from HS and I dearly miss her and the moment we spent together more after watching this. We went separate way because I moved far away from her after HS. We had a chance to meet again 6 years ago after 20 years separated and we shared kisses. My regret was I didn’t stay long enough to spend time with her but we are back to our own life now. We knew deep inside we still love each other. I hope we will see each other again in the future. She will never be my ex but she is my forever love.

There's so many what if's this drama have. The way Kota cry looking at Mei, knowing he could not stay long. So much emotion can be triggered in this masterpiece. It makes you appreciate life and how to live in every moment of it knowing you vould be gone too soon.

このドラマ、何度見てもイイ！！

Episode 7 is something I have never seen before! The scene where the main male protagonist ticked off the things he would do for rika is believably true. Most men think like that as written. Such devotion to the woman he loves. That scene where he was awkward and vulnerable and said things only a man crazily in love could is brutally honest. That alone was worth to see this romantic drama. A magnificent story-telling: true, real, biting and transparent.

See this romantic drama and live your love! Simply awesome! Another great from Japan! Love this and feed your soul with honest art! Ito, out from nowhere and rising from a lull, gave the greatest performance of his life.Shizuka Ishibashi has breathed life into 'rika' and made her one of the world tv's unforgettable. Her ballet background added grace to her poise. A magnificent tv series. If you couldn't feel the gravitas of this piece, then, you haven't truly lived. To truly love is to get hurt...... Damn!

This romantic drama is the best for so many reasons. Japanese TV may have the pedigree to boast that they could be the best in Asia. Their story-telling is straight forward and from the heart. Not only that, it is smart, way smarter than any other asian ware. This romantic drama bursts with energy that I could hardly follow the twists and turns of the tumultuous emotional ride I was in, yet I adore every bit of that jolt. To this one, I will engrave in my heart the love it truly deserves. To this one,too, I will instill in my mind that yes, true love is complicated yet worth doing... and perhaps worth sacrificing.

Why only 40,000 views? Is the whole world missing another gem again? This romantic drama is definitely the best that year in any language. Yes, you read it right. America has nothing like it. Korea hasn't either. This piece is heart-stopping and the best of its kind in many years. Love and life in Tokyo in our time told ably and beautifully. The casting is perfect and the acting top-tier. Mind - blowing and honest. The scenes depicted of awkwardness and coming of age are delectable in many layers. Hundreds of carefully calibrated acting are simply adorable and relatable. No tv series is as delicious as this one in the last 5 years, and that includes America's and Korea's. To describe the beauty of this romantic drama in words will do no justice. In short, it is best you see then feel it. One fave scene of mine is that seconds before the episode 3 clipped, kanji kissed the forehead of rika signaling the feeling of true love rather than sexual desire. For me, given their first meeting and other circumstances, it is just touching and romantic. Another work of genius ,but better still, another work of honesty from Japan. This work is one of the best in the world, and anyone who will see it can see that humanity is restored to its rightful place- a pedestal, worth admiring and emulating in spite of its glaring flaws.
