as for the simashev pick for Arizona, i cant confirm obviously but ive seen people say he was pretty high on a lot of other teams lists so it was likely he was going to go before Arizona could pick again at 12. also heard that scouting Russian talent has been difficult with the conflict thats happening over there with Ukraine which is probably why not a lot of people really know much about simashev. im honestly not too thrilled about the pick but we'll see how it pans out

How can you say Trouba is a bad player? No other defenseman has more hits and blocked shots. If it wasn’t for his leadership we wouldn’t have just won 7 in a row. You hate us cause you ain’t us. What do people do in Columbus anyway. Must be boring.

Respectfully, you are incorrect about this being “relatively new” in this league. Unfortunately, victims of sexual assault often do not come forward, if at all, until they are much older and have a better understanding of what they have experienced.
@jayashdown38362 жыл бұрын
perhaps i articulated incorrectly, I didn't mean to say it is new in the context of "this doesn't happen." What I meant was, it's relatively new to see an allegation like this brought to life. More and more important stories are coming forward, and it's a big thing. If you watch more of our content, you'll know where we stand on it. Hockey has a terrible culture, and it needs to change. I do apologize for not saying that as clearly as I could've.

Plays PP/PK, he’s got a bite and if really wanted/needed, he CAN be moved after his 4th year. This is how you structure a deal. But he has pride, he durable and tough so don’t be surprised if he’s putting up 60pts ish in his last couple years when he’s 36 or 37.

Guys, I gotta say kudos to both of you. We don't often hear pundits from a Central/Eastern time zone that get the Canucks and what they are doing. In particular Eastern Time zone guys often beak off like Mommy tucked them in and they were sleeping before the puck dropped on the West Coast!

Thank you, man! We do what we can. Plus, honestly both of us LOVE what the Canucks are doing, and personally I've been a huge fan of theirs for a while. I really like what JR and Allvin are up to so far, and hope they keep up the nice moves. Thanks for the love! - Jake

Zboril went exactly where he was supposed too in the draft, I don't know why ppl don't understand that. Senyshyn was the pick that hurt.
@jayashdown38362 жыл бұрын
Perhaps I didn't articulate as well as I should've, it's nothing against the kid, it's just unfortunate to have him be the pick at 13 when another defenseman (Chabot) goes after him and becomes a star. I'm rooting for Zboril, I hope he becomes a staple of their defense, but there's no doubt he hasn't lived up to that 13th overall pick potential so far. Hopefully he's a late bloomer, but we'll have to see. The good news for him is he has a great opportunity in front of him this season.

Pastrnak doesn't play on the top line anymore, he played half the season last year with Hall on the 2nd line. Debrusk will be back up with Marchand and Bergeron

Marchand is hurt, and that's why we project Pasta on the top line. I think JDB-Bergy-Pasta makes sense to start the season. If marchy is healthy, you have flexibility in your top 6!

Brad Marchand has been suspended so many times, Bergie knows how to get by without him the beginning of playoffs... We beat the Avalanche won - 5 when he was suspended last February! Listen to the confusion trying to figure out lines Look at it as a Bruins opponent and try to figure out what defensive lines you're going to put up against our top two lines? This is going to be fun - three goals in third periods again!
@TheFoolintherainn2 жыл бұрын
getting all excited for the season! Hey, check out 36 YEAR OLD Krejci's interview why he wasn't here for playoffs - he was in Czech playoffs, give a full commitment to that team, didn't expect to get eliminated - 2 days to get his daughter out of school and moved to boston. Wasn't going to happen. If anybody wants to read on - I got a microphone and I've been watching this unfold since Krejci left. We knew in early June he was coming back, somehow, some way Pasta's free agency is coming up - he wants #46 back in black (& gold) When Krejci left 2021, his complaint was about the coach not allowing he and Pasta to play together, and we ended up losing game 7 against Blues - we needed that second line mismatch Some players questioned Cassidy taking out David Backes game 7 also. Which came up in David Backes December 2021 interview. He's retired, so he could speak frankly, yet he was balanced since I heard that interview, watched the rest of the season - I saw his points - particularly transitions through the neutral zone Jake DeBrusk already pointed out the hypocrisy of the coaching in Nov, asked to be traded- "every player has to compete for their spot every day". Yet the perfection line was failing - and we did hold our fastest skater back On May 31, 2022 , after they had played in the IIHF together, Pasta posted a Twitter video asking Krejci if he's coming back - Krejci grins, looks in the camera, says nothing June 8 - Cassidy is fired 2 weeks later, Bergie announces he's not retiring July 13 Pasta became a free agent July 11th they had announced they were negotiating with David Krejci 🤔 Pasta's driving this bus - what he wants he gets - he wants #46 at his side, and his buddy Patrice Bergeron, who also wants it, happens to have enough pull on the team to make that happen (And he owes us one after bringing Nick Foligno in! ) Now let's see if we can get the ole 2011 #17 enforcer back for this core before playoffs - yes, 34-year-old Milan Lucic! The enforcers are what make the scorers effective - and he could do both back then he's got good hockey IQ. By trade deadline, he's on the last year of that $5.2/$6 mi per year - he'll be cheap if the Flames don't need him for playoffs Playoffs don't have a salary cap I got one more thing to throw in thats blowing my mind- the B's were making plans to put Big Z under contract for one day as a Bruin, to retire his Jersey Those plans went silent - the next news that came out was... 45 year old Zdeno Chara is in massive training and top shape! Whaaat? His agent made a statement to a Boston reporter that Chara will announce whether he's retiring or not in September I'm thinkin' there's no way big Z is going to let this reunion happen, without him I see these veterans coming back as player- coaches, this is part of a rebuild They just gutted 20 positions in the Bruins organization, brought in new scouts look at prospects we've got coming in I'd think Boston fans would stop talking about age - We made history with the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl oldest NFL player to be named Super Bowl MVP at 39 and the oldest to be named league MVP at 40 And he's not done yet - anybody remember ole washed up Tom Brady? So could we stop talking about age for a coupla minutes?

It's funny how one guy on TV started about possession or control of the puck and now everybody is rolling with it. Possession and control do not matter at all here. In a nutshell, the off-side rule (83.1) just says players must not precede the puck into the attacking zone, except delayed off-side (83.3) if the defending team is in a position to get the puck out of the zone without any delay or contact wit an attacking player OR (!!!) the players who have preceded the puck are in the process of clearing the zone. Neither of those even mentions possession or control. Nichushkin has preceded the puck, so that would make it offside according to 83.1 regardless of who has possession, but he was in the process of clearing the zone, so the off-side is delayed according to 83.3. For a delayed off-side to become off-side it literally says an attacking player has to touch (not just possess) the puck or attempt to gain possession of a loose puck. Makar didn't touch it, nor did he attempt to gain possession of a loose puck, since it wasn't even loose. The only case where possessing (or I think it says control) of the puck actually matters for the off-side rule is, if the player who has preceded the puck into the zone is the one who has possession or control (don't remember which one) of the puck. In this case the play would also be deemed on-side. But since in was Nichushkin who preceded the puck and Makar, who was not in the zone was in control of the puck, it's irrelevant.

Sabres fan here. Great discussion guys. I can give you my perspective if youre interested. I havent liked Jack since the year he took the C. He has rubbed me the wrong way ever since. The attitude he always seemed to have, the body language, the way he carried himself.... it was all just horrible. I was a fan of the Sabres long enough to know what a captain needed to look like and he never fit the bill. When Id look at him all I'd see was a weak kid who had everything come so easy to him his whole life who needed an attitude adjustment. Of course, around here you really could not let people know that you dont like Eichel. People loved the dude. There were very few people who could safely openly dislike him without being tar and feathered. So to hear that interview the other day really made me feel not so crazy. I normally dont like to compare people but I feel like the feelings on Jack soured even more after everyone (who is a Bills fan) saw what a REAL natural leader looks like in Josh Allen. He is what everyone wishes a first round draft pick would be. Not just in ability but likeability, leadership and just a GOOD DUDE. Him and Alex Tuch are cut from the same cloth and Sabres fans are already screaming for him as the next C. Already. The wild thing was that there was still PLENTY of people who still liked Jack. He still had a ton of supporters but he totally ruined anything he had left here with that one interview. Jack is a great player and very talented. I appreciate the work he did with the hospital. I am glad he got to make his own decision with his own body (as a woman, id be a hypocrite if I thought anything otherwise).... but nothing about him screams "Buffalo" and to be an athlete in this city you really need that trait. I dont think Jack ever had it and he couldnt manufacture it.
