Can you reward pokemon center visits that involve healing, but only so often to prevent it from just repeatedly healing in a loop? Can you assign bonus points for reaching certain locations (gym battles/new locations) faster or with less movement/button presses to prioritize to progress over aimless wandering?

It would be interesting to adjust a reward for New zone, but also a reward for scarcely discovered zone. I.e. AI reaches first stop with 3 options. It'll only be able to choose 1. However, we still want other AIs to get here. So we need to reward them if maybe less than 1% have reached that same location. It should fix the moon cave problem, cause the first AI would get there, but then discover the same scarcely discovered zone and explore.

Very late on it, but the reason it moves how it does against walls is 'The left wall trick' or 'The maze trick', if you the wall to your left and continue to move along that pattern you'll always be able to eventually find the way out of the maze.

Thoughts on Improvement; If the AI is intended to complete the game then it might benefit from so scripted reward sets; - having Hidden Moves (HM) - having a Pokemon with an HM - Badge checks - A sub AI just for battles (a simple type/level lookup set that turns a pokemon into a value set of type, move types, etc) - static rewards for reaching 'new screens' preloaded from screen shoots of new town, routes, gyms, etc

Since I was 5 when the game came out I didn’t learn about the start button or subsequently the save feature for a while so I made it to mount moon constantly and started over lol. This looks like a Timelapse of my early childhood 🤦‍♂️
