the dayz engine does much work to achieve the look

Is this your map then? I had a run around a few weeks back. Actually looks quite good already. 👍

hey thanks very much, it's been great fun to learn. This 5x5 section is the SW of the full size map. cheers :)))

@@nutday5 Cool. Thanks for the work you put in to it. Map makers for DayZ are the life blood of the game if you ask me. I’ll have to get back on over the weekend and find myself a dmr lol

How difficult would you say it is to get dayz to run on linux ? Im very new to linux and want to try it out

for the server end, installing on linux is quite easy. For playing the game itself, not sure - I'll ask about

hey. so you should be able to install steam on your linux desktop. Once thats done, getting the game and launching it should be just like other platforms. Loading and using mods is still a problem I believe,

You really need to quit whispering, or speak up. I can't hear your commentary even if I turn up my smart phone volume all the way up (where speaker destruction is seriously threatened).
@nutday5 Жыл бұрын
1st feedback on the volume, I thought it was on the quiet side of ~ use headphones ~. Interested though, how can you see anything that I'm doing, on a smartphone?
@eols2190 Жыл бұрын
@@nutday5 yes. Not only is your sound volume too low, it's difficult to see small text.

appreciate the feedback. These videos are squarely targeted at 'full size' PC users with audio and screens to match. As I learnt the process myself, I would follow along in my software as the narrator described the process. I've deliberately adopted a softly spoken tone in order that people who are learning the process can receive my ideas in a calm and measured way. I've already marked them all 'not for kids' which I hoped restricted the audience somewhat. Anything that can reduce the chances of more users encountering a bad experience is welcomed. I'll have a dig in the YT settings and see if there is a way to exclude them from smaller devices. Maybe there's another type of DayZ video that you'd like to see from me. I'd need to optimize for clarity in audio and visuals of course. A multimedia spectacular you could say :))) What do you say, more shorts?
@SaSaaVirus Жыл бұрын
will this be playable? might be a good map to learn first time players how the game works. Or maybe a survival challenge, with loads more zombies and only live stock to hunt. I would make a server for it :) Found it @costock_5
@nutday5 Жыл бұрын
this one .. nope :)))) watch the intro. 2x2 is too small for DayZ. If you make your own map tho, I guess you can do what you want! GLHF

Re the date, I'm pretty sure that it is indeed 1990. The car at 0.53 looks like a Subaru Legacy, which made its RAC Rally debut that year. Also David Llewellyn's Toyota at 1.21 has its 1990 sponsorship livery :-)

Wow. This place was rad. We skated there around this time. We stayed with a guy called Lija (sorry if that's spelled wrong) he ripped that vert ramp. He took us to a mini ramp in a roller disco too. A great weekend. We were used to outdoor metal vert ramps like Bracknell and Latimer Road so being indoors was a real nice experience.

I learned body jars on that vert ramp. I ate shit bad but the ramp was so smooth with no cheese grater metal surface flapping up and down or screws ripping your pads down it didn't seem so bad. I've just noticed the name my comments are under lol My daughter must've hijacked my account
