What is the best way to get rid of the burnt hair smell from getting a silk press from the salon?

Thank you Dickey!!! This is real! I just switched it up, cut my hair into a bob and am taking a short break from the daily wash n gos and wearing a silk press for a little bit!

I moved to a new town and was looking for a hairdresser. A coworker told me a story about a stylist that refused to do her hair because she didn't want a cut to get rid of damaged ends. I looked at her transparent ends and asked for the name of the salon. She wanted a stylist to sprinkle sugar on 💩. I called and scheduled an appointment. I stayed with that stylist until I went back to natural.

You are so so so so so so so so so so right.. it's a lot of work put a takedown service Plus the shampoo service Plus the detangling service which prestige past 15 minutes and then the styling forget cutting style they want a whole another style all together on top of the fact that is running into somebody else's hair appointment it's not fair to The stylist and it's not fair to the other customer more money does need to be charged and pacifically black women need to understand that... I really wish I was an apprentice to you.. you're truthful honest and amazing..

I did the"big chop" 3xs which watching ur videos i didnt have to do that, but because i didnt know how to do the basics of taking care of natural hair i went back to the perm but them came ur channel. Its my tribe❤ ty love and Happy Thanksgiving

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I just think it's funny how Andrew gets credit as like the God of washing goes, when I have literally been doing my hair like this for, like, 2 decades I'm just saying

Thank you for your continued education. I'm no longer afraid to get my hair wet, and I have leaned into wash and gos. My hair and scalp have never been this healthy. So sad that it took me so long to discover this. What's sadder are the millions of women with curls and coils who will continue to neglect and hide their hair because they've been made to feel ashamed of their crown.

YES! Problematic Is Not Acceptable. The Hair Just Needs More Attention Because It's Been Neglected. Brown Grass Is Not Bad, It Just Needs To Be Watered. Thank You Dickey For Being Respectful, Professional And Patient.

You know Mr. Dickey I Have To Watch Your content. Cuz it's really the only real encouraging content for black women with 4C hair. Your truthful you're straight to the point and I love your sense of humor . When I watch the videos of women who don't have 4c hair or 4b hair maybe even 4a, it's like all amazing hair transformations, unless they're screwing their hair up and then they can still get an amazing hair transformation. But is mainly women with 4B and 4C here that I just see....shacking my head.... is like mostly very sad. it's tight braids, lace wigs, weaves, or whatever that's not their real hair. Then there are the ones using chemicals, dyed or bleaching. And it never looks as good as the women on the amazing hair videos that don't have 4 c hair. I don't care what they do it just never looks natural. Then the ones trying to do natural hair be struggling and a thousand directions by 4c content creators doesn't help unless you have "common sense" to realize simple is best. I just feel so bad when I see 4c hair women struggling because of European and western sociatol brainwashed norms on what is desirable hair and beauty. Try and they try and they try but many never achieve it. Lol how did people attract a mate in early history before all this foolishness and fakery. Pretty much all women are most beautiful when they are natural and healthy and Fit. And this is a problem with many women not keeping themselves fit, esp. as they age, old age is hard you better keep yourself fit or will just the harder. And your Mind will be trapped inside crumbling flesh. And guess What your mind is still sometimes thinking young, but you've let your body limit you. I understand though when you have natural 4C hair and you style it, it's only going to last a few hours maybe one day. But our hair is actually not a lazy hair we have to do it. We need to learn how to do our own hair and manage our own hair , we can get some really nice styles especially when we care for it properly. It's a real testament to our inner and outer strength. Are we weaker than these women who don't have 4C hair. Do you Think if they had your hair it would still be so easy for them. I don't think so I think they would be doing the same thing. Or maybe they would understand that God gave them the hair for a reason. Whatever hair we are born with we are equipped to take care of that hair, mentally we should be equipped to take care of that hair and physically we should be equipped to take care of that hair unless we're disabled or having some kind of handicap. This is pure shamefulness, vanity, and worst of all laziness. I understand it's hard but after everything that we've been through historically we should be mentally equipped and able to handle this. I commend women like naturally Gwen, Chris Lindsey and others who just make their 4c hair look so beautiful. You see this other hair type women with healthy beautiful hair, it fits their face it looks good. The same goes for women with 4C hair when their hair is done correctly and it's healthy and it's taken care of and it's put into a beautiful natural style same thing, it fits their face just so perfect more than anything they can stick on their head that's fake. I'm Old I cut my hair off 4 years ago after I had locks for 20 years now 4 years later my hair is bra strap length, so no 4c hair is not hard to grow unless you're lazy or impatient. I'm talking about people who have no real hair issues, they're just lazy and impatient.

I enjoy seeing a stylist, doctor or any professional who recognizes your time is as valuable as theirs. It’s very important to establish that in your business. No one wants to be sitting for hours, time matters.
@divingchicago6 күн бұрын
I totally agree. I am never late. If i can't make the appt i call and ask the stylist to charge me because i value my stylists time. I request that the stylist takes me on time. If the stylist does not take me on time 2x, i find another stylist.

You’re telling people to sleep in conditioner? I’m sorry but that’s not good advice at all. That causes hair weathering and scalp maceration. The same thing that happens to your hands if you were to leave it sitting in water for hours is the same thing that would happen if people sleep in conditioner. I’m sure you didn’t mean any harm by saying that but this is scientific fact and we have to be careful what advice we give to people and consult a dermatologist first
