Great news for the world! I recently wonder if and how can we use CO2 as a raw material for usefull products. And putting CO2 into a large long time saisonal storage might be a good chance for success.

Can it done like this? Burn fossil fuels and the CO2 get in the storage system and when needed you can use one part of the CO2 for products the other for agrarculture and the rest as the energy storage medium

I am deeply charmed and impressed and only wish I was able to compare this with LAES in depth. Intiutively I would think that the very low temperature of Laes means the required insulation must be the best available (expensive?) or else too much liquid air will boil away. On the other hand, less space is required and so the output of the system can probably easier be bigger. It could be that this system is cheaper, simpler, more robust and safe. In all discussed systems, there must be a way to suck up, transport away and store waste heat or cold very fast. The stored heat should remain as high as possible so the later expansion goes faster. How to do that best, seems to me the hardest part ??
