For a hicktown,Jacksonville has a lot of great qualities. We lack quality entertainment. In order to get that,you'll have to travel outside of the city. Yes,we have events periodically/seasonal,but that's not enough if you're wanting or used to having something to do like other munipalities have to offer. There's plenty of great food, and the weather is relatively good,especially for those who love the outdoors. The people here may not be all that warm or friendly,however,don't let that deter you. Jacksonville is good for those who are looking for a slower pace. As far as wealth,health,and safety; that's on you as far as where you choose to reside. Do your homework and use your 5 senses. Looks are deceiving.

Jacksonville is a dump full of lazy people. Doesn't feel like Florida and is easily the worst big city in Florida. Job market sucks

I don't understand why so many people say this city sucks. It looks beautiful: it's affordable, it's in an ideal location, it has an NFL team, you have the st John's river, good for boating and fishing, plenty of jobs. I don't understand what's not to like about this city? I have seen many negative comments about this city and I'm planning on moving there in a year so just wondering if anyone could validate whether it's a good or bad city to move to?

I live here, and while it is amazing, you should know there is LOTS of crime, and its huge, and somewhat hard to navigate. Downtown has the most crime, and a handfull of homeless people, some of who are unsafe. It has lots of activities, which are super fun, almost always something happening, and lots of football! It really depends on the person, whether its a good city or not.

Definitely a great marketing piece for a realtor company wanting people to buy houses! Well done, I'm sure Sarah is happy with this video. She's made a TON of money year over year. So, here's the thing in a nutshell, Jacksonville is the biggest small town, ever. Traffic SUCKS, the school are ok, but a good school will require you have the money to live or commute to the better areas (like the ones she's showing). Houses are still disgustingly overpriced (a $300k house probably sold for $180k 4 years ago. And then homeowners’ insurance is RIDICULOUS ! Seriously ridiculous! The job market isn't great unless you're a tradesmen, even then... You should probably have something lined up before coming here. You either love it here or you hate it.... But I'd highly recommend vacationing here for a few days through a week.. drive everywhere.. experience it BEFORE committing to it.

Buyer beware if you are thinking about buying an ICI home in the Silverleaf community located in St. Johns County! Be sure to check out the drainage infrastructure. It is inadequate for many of the lots. We purchased a home in the Courtney Chase neighborhood. We found a home we liked. We did notice drainage issues in the backyard before closing. ICI promised us they would fix it within 30 days. After 30 days, they came and dug an unsightly six-foot-wide ditch in our backyard that spanned the width of the yard. Then said it was fixed. It basically ruined our backyard. It made the drainage issue worse! We have suffered from mosquitoes and thousands of frogs in our yard. During the rainy season (which is long here), we’ve had to be careful not to let any frogs or insects into the house. Very difficult when your backyard is a swamp. Since then, we have only gotten the run around from ICI. Be very careful before you buy. Reply

Jacksonville, FL - my home for over 25 years, and let me tell you, it’s got its own vibe. Depending on where you land, it can be a mixed bag, but for me? It’s been solid. The city’s huge-like, really huge. You could drive for an hour and still be in Jacksonville! Beaches, rivers, parks, downtown-it’s got a little of everything, though it all depends on what you're into. And yeah, the weather can swing between "tropical paradise" and "who turned the heat up?" but that’s Florida for you. Here’s the kicker: people keep moving here. Must be something in the water... or maybe it’s the lack of state income tax and job opportunities. Either way, it’s got that pull. Jacksonville’s a city that grows on you, and for me, it’s been a place worth calling home. Would be tough moving back to Maine again.

Simply because it's little to no crime on the areas she mentioned in the video. The areas that do have crime is not as bad as western and northern areas of the US. Speaking from a Chicago native that has lived in Jacksonville 16 years.

Nocatee has a deeded cap of construction. There is no possibility additional construction in Nocatee. All remaining construction, are final opportunities. This has been a 20+ year project by the Davis family, the airs of Winn-Dixie, it is finally wrapping up after receiving an entire roster of accolades and awards.

Hi! Thank you for this informative video! What is the weather there comparing to Miami for example? Has to be lower temperature?
@theroccogroup
@theroccogroup 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! You're right - the weather in Jacksonville tends to be a bit cooler than Miami, especially in the winter. While Miami stays warm year-round, Jacksonville gets cooler winters with temperatures sometimes dipping into the 40s°F, compared to Miami’s 60s°F. Summers in both cities are hot and humid, but Jacksonville can feel a little more temperate. Hope that helps!
