Remy's also just interesting lore-wise because a lot of emphasis is put on the sonicboom and flash kick being Guile and Nash's moves^tm and so central to those two specifically that it's worthy of note in SF4, that no other person could possibly be able to use those moves other than Nash and Guile. Which, then makes it really funny that some random french twink can just use moves signature to two US military servicemen for some fucking reason. Also, it was probably a joke, but it genuinely would not be that bad of an idea to just make nonbinary remy if they brought him back that's actually a genius idea to make him stand out imo

The idea that Remy hates fighting plays into how he’s the opposite of of Guile. You know, a rough looking man who left his family because he is obsessed with fighting. They’re aren’t related in plot, but Remy absolutely is supposed to echo or be reminiscent of a certain family man in the sense of “what would that style of person put his kids through” lol. That seems like a reach until you realize that Sean Matsuda’s whole schtick throughout street fighter 3 is “Ken Masters is a bad teacher.”

Yeah I like Remy but rosters are built off of archetypes for the most part and sf6 has guile already so I wouldn't expect Remy back any time soon and given the guest characters which I love (terry is the goat ) and the amount of shotos already in the game id expect them to start releasing dlc based on archetype alone i.e. a true boxer , an animal ( eds gorilla maybe?) unless you count blanka I guess but I wouldn't necalli is a closer comparison to the style im talking about, Gotta have G and rose if the story they've laid out before is gonna continue in any way and oro which if so here comes gill and possibly kolin and I could keep going forever maybe I should make a vid LMAO

Honestly the only niche I can see Remy fulfill in SF6 is maybe if they made his projectiles really wrak, but they had really low charge times, like 20-30 frames. Would at least make him different enough from Guile mechanically but still not enough

I don't know man, sometimes Capcom doesn't really good in designing some new character, like Abel, Rufus, and Remy, meanwhile SNK design for Ash is in another level compared to Remy Yes, Ash is charging character but it fits with his demeanor, relax and deceptive, so you really can't guess his next move, while Remy, he's really need a lot of redesign, too generic in appearance and really bad moveset 😐

I hate the idea that we can’t have Remy when we already have Guile. And no we don’t need to change his inputs like Nash. Remy is as unique to Guile as Sagat is to Ryu. People are so afraid of 2 similar charge characters but love having 6 shotos in the same game. Great video though I hope he gets redeemed.

I think Remy would make for a good story mode cameo, rather than a fighter. Also, you can make a custom fighter that does Remy things because you have Guile's moveset.

I’m the one person who likes Remy more than Guile. I’d love to see Remy in SF6. Just give him Nash’s moveset from SF5.

I really like Remy. I always felt good playing as him to. I personally would love to see him come back. I think they just gotta tweek him, make him a bit more different, tighten up his design a bit (that new art of him that every character got I think looks better already). Maybe get rid of the whole "I hate fighting" thing or explain it better. Id say give him a french accent to make him stand out (since hes from France), but people tend to have a hate boner for french people for whatever reason lol. Sure he looks like a KoF character, but I find KoF characters way cooler looking than most SF characters. Really wish Capcom would take more chances on their characters and stop relying on SF2 or the same SF3 guys all the time (when they do decide to use SF3 characters that is lol)
