The only time it was dangerous to hand feed our little Papillon dog was when you had chicken breasts. She started to shake and if you didn’t watch out then your fingers could be prickled. Anything else she was very neat to pick, but chicken where best served on a plate!😂 And yeah, she was raised by a momma cat so she was rather independent to be a doggo!😅

Teasing is not nice. That little piece is ridiculously unfair. Next time buy a little more chicken, skip his cat food and let him have a 1/4 of chicken or something while you eat.

I finally found a way to get my cat to stop jumping onto the table while I eat, uninvited. I invited him. Now I have two plates on the table mine and one empty one. Whatever the cat sniffs at, I snip off a piece, cut it into smaller chunks and just leave it on the smaller plate. ( Assuming the meat isn't seasoned with something a cat can't digest. ) Anyhow, no more "uninvited cat on the table" problem. Just give her a separate plate and accept that you're not stopping it.

The older they get, the bolder they are about thieving :D My previous cat Boris at somepoint got so bold, he stole sausages off the coal fire BBQ and then later on a full on steak out of my plate.. 5 secs laps of my attention and he ran out the catflap with it. Only to return 3 minutes later with "his" steak to eat it, for he was a civilized kitty that only ate indoors. he growled at me for trying to take "his" steak, the one he stole from me.
