2:42 The thing i love about Layne more than that power house voice is that he wasnt afraid to modify the vocal runs. Some of his live modifications are better than the studio versions. Thats ultimate trust in your vocal control and when he was younger he was supreme at doing it, before the drugs really got hold.

Astonishing what a massive vocal performance he could perform considering the constant egomaniac shithouse guitarplay and backing vocal shit nothing but destruction - even shiting the nearly lost you riff in - mark jammed through this shit from fat fart dude. Well and that he pulled out that level of vocal pressure above the insane noise level and the low mic gain - Legend! And to take the story on his sour throat that’s Divine (it’s true but just a part of the mix) fuck the fat brother and the REM drummers hair and drumming!!!

Let’s not forget that bass man shit hits harder than any mom back in the 80’s and 90’s. They better get put in the hall of fame. The media totally shunned Lane and almost looked down on him but man, if only someone helped earlier or said something. Man the world lost an angel that day.

Anthony Kiedis at the start of the vid - he gives a nice nod to Layne in the Chili’s song ‘Peace and Love’ off their latest album

I always come back to this particular live version because that last backkkkk for the last chorus is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard vocally. Rip Layne, you were the greatest of all time.

I always wanted to see him. You’d be surprised how much you can miss someone you’ve never met. I’m 14, and wasn’t even born in their era and I just love what they did. Layne was truly talented and I wanted to meet him face to face. I would Give anything. Fly high Layne.

Nirvana is cool but no where near even close to aic. I don’t think anybody was. Jerry gutter star on the base. Kinney immaculate drumming Laynes range. Put all that together you get sluggish rough bluesie metal !! Aic for ever

It’s just so heartwarming to me that regardless of which song, any AiC song’s comments section looks like this one - just filled with respect and great admiration for the band. Does anyone ever have anything bad to say about AiC? I have yet to see. So apparentaly I (and you guys) must have great taste in music, seeing as they are my favorite band of all time.
@IkinBBfromAnthologyOfTheKiller11 күн бұрын
Also glad to see. I only see people say that stuff out of spaces meant to discuss the band, which is good.
