This scene is a great example of good communication. Tanis had an understandable and fair general point but one not justified in this specific instance. Wayne asserted and reassured that it wasn't meant to imply anything that she was feeling hurt about it implying. Tanis apologized not for her opinions, but for the intensity of her reaction. She owned her role in the situation. Wayne was understanding about why such a reaction would occur.

Hilarious fourth wall break cringe at Tannis' comment at the end, and how it's gonna trigger some oversensitive people. Wayne would never cringe at that.

Will Letterkenny ever make an episode about Hanukkah? I have heard there is a funny back story about that Hanukkah holiday - something about the mass slaughter of racial enemies who practiced an opposing religion of ancient times.
@kyekimler2 жыл бұрын
The Hellenistic Seleucid king Antiochus didn't like that Jews weren't worshipping Zeus, so he tried to force them to convert. A guy named Mattathias revolted, died of old age, and his son Judah finished the revolt by taking back over Jerusalem and guaranteeing the freedom to practice Judaism for a lil while. There was also a miracle where the menorah (seven branch candle which is symbolically meant to be lit all the time) had gone out thanks to the Hellenistic worshippers, and the Jews only had one small jar of oil to relight the candles with. Somehow, the candles stayed lit for an entire 8 days; enough time to replenish the oil supply and continue maintaining the sacred flame. This all happened in the 2nd century BC and as far as we know is entirely factual. I doubt Letterkenny would ever make an episode about Hanukkah, it's not exactly in the theme of the show and there aren't any explicitly Jewish characters so why would they? I also know comedy is subjective but I'm curious about what made you think a potential story about slaughtering religious enemies is funny in the first place.
