You should’ve marched the food back inside and told them no. Think. The food is hot and that is leverage. The caterer would’ve slipped you a 20 if you would’ve pushed them for it because the food is hot and needs to stay that way. If you cancel and another driver has to come than they have to remake the food. You have leverage you just need to use it

When the customers order through doordash, 100% of the tip is yours. However, when the customers order directly through the store or restaurant, the restaurants and store are able to take as much as they want of the tip. So while the customer may have tipped a lot of money, you may never see it. Those tips are altered before you get the order. 💯

This why I don’t mess with doordash as a part time delivery driver. Doordash has zero transparency when it comes to accepting deliveries. Multi Apping is the way to go to survive in the gigecon

They’re very strict . If you don’t respond , they take the order back. I never answer the texts. I swipe start delivery start 1 hour when I get the reminder. The problem is the company will get stuck with the loss and need to boot you off the order if you don’t follow the instructions . They need ample time to find a driver if you don’t respond
