Best band since the Beatles by a country mile and with the change in music and the radio putting out trash, These guys sadly get left behind but if they were around in the 60's and 70's they'd be the best band in the world.

They get it right, and he's a great drummer.

this and Heaven Can Wait, marvelous performances. What an honor to see Ellen live. As a teenager, i collected all 3 Ellen albums. It's like a time-warp to see the videos of these songs.

Good version overall Nice lead vocals & harmonies. However, the drums are little too busy in the Byrds song. There were not so many drum rolls in the original version.

Hey Videogoat, also great upload, sound is perfect, and you were up front ! Say, you would not happen to have filmed the complete concert? That would be great, even if privately, can gladly give you my email
@401dutchdivas52 жыл бұрын
Thanks Videogoat, and please do not mind the negativity of people like Paul below, who simply have no clue what they are talking about: Ellen IS Irene Wilde in Ian's original video clip, so if there's ANYONE entitled to take it on, its 'Irene Foley' ;)

criminal....have a lot of time for ellen foley's earlier work and she turned in a great album produced by hunter/ronson but she should have left well alone here. The song is far too intimate to Hunter to take on as a cover and i'll never understand why artists change the gender of a song. That's just so amateur and musically disrespectful. Norah Jones murders Maybe I'm Amazed by doing the same thing. Not surew what the point is there. Do they think we'll all think they're gay if a woman sings a love song about another woman? Great song in the hands of Hunter but pretty shit here.

Paul Paul, so you're from the Repertoire Police? Which department? Musical inquisition? Well, I enjoyed it, so its 1-1.

Brilliant and she still sings it like she means it. What an album "Night out" is/was. God bless Ellen.

I love Ellen and Karla ........ Ellen is big venue//studio/Broadway and Karla is the arena /bar /live ....the chemistry between Meatloaf and Karla was golden ....Ellen live would never come close to Karla live with Meatloaf , unless Ellen was solo , live ..............

This band were badly managed.. Just imagine they didn't put out the songs Rebeca You, Cobwebs, Coney Island.. Instead they put out a boring song that went nowhere called "Put the Sun Back." Jackeline just wasn't a great song and went nowhere in the charts.. "Who's Gonna Find Me," was a driving tune but they put the wrong songs out which is why the album didn't catch fire.. The same with the album the Butterfly House as they put out average songs like 1000 Years and the horrible Two Faces instead of putting out Butterfly House the song, She's Coming Around.....as these were the most obvious songs on the album.. More than a Lover was a good single yet they put out dross again which meant the album wouldn't catch fire like Root's and Echo's. Distance in Between was horrible with a few good songs on it.. Then the next album with a big cool title and colourful album sleeve and they leave the most obvious single "Outside My Window," on the shelf.. Reaching Out For a Friend is just rank average bad and I can't believed they released it as a single.. The video was terrible too.. "Eye's Like Pearls," was ok but nothing to write home about. The album felt like they're still going through their imitation of the 70's new wave sound and nothing seemed outstanding in my view accept "Outside my Window." My fav albums are the first four plus the mystery album "The Curse of Love," which see's the Coral do what they do best.. I'm not a fan of the style of music from the rest of the Coral albums because it simply just doesn't sound like the Coral.. After Roots and Echo's they sound like a band stuck in this new wave 70's nightmare and this is the time they started falling down the charts rapidly.. Hopefully the new album will see the Coral back to their sea shanties best which is what they do best.
