Beautiful Kites & great job flying., we’ve been having a Ray Bethell kite watching marathon this week in honor of our dear friend. I very much just bought kites for my husband & I to have a hand at flying them now. 🪁we may reach out to you for advice from time to time if you don’t mind!? Ray & wife Delores passed away within weeks of each other in December so he took all his advice with him. Have you run across any of his videos here on KZbin? If not check them out. He was world champ many times over having won in thee divisor of dancing the kites to music & he was totally deaf! The man should be a national treasure! If you check them out, I hope you enjoy 😊

That is half of my stack. The trouble with the full stack is that it breaks Civil Aviation Authority laws. So I can't practice unless it is at a festival with special height clearance. If there is too much wind. It won't allow me to be in control. You have to know, that is not a good idea.

I have 3 four footers bought in the 1980's. I fly them singly in higher winds. Real quality stuff and wicked fast in power spins. Just think, it Flexifoils started as an Art School project! Interesting things happen in interfaces, such as when art meets science.

Not really. You’d need a bit more to get dragged.

I never was a big fan of quads, until now! Brilliant! The hours and hours of practice required show true dedication to the sport. Good on you all. Now, I need to see if I can afford ANOTHER $200 kite!
