I don't know the story behind this video, but I once almost pulled the trigger. Here's the scenario: I was in my 20's, 3 very small kids living in a rural area. My husband was on a "hunting trip". He left Thursday, said he'd be home Sunday. Around 2 am Saturday morning, I was awakened by a noise. I see a flashlight being shined from down the hall towards the bedrooms. I thought it was an intruder and had the gun pointed at the doorway. When I pulled back the hammer, my husband shined the flashlight on his face and said, "it's me!" I couldn't imagine that it wasn't an intruder and never understood why he didn't turn on a light or why he seemed to be sneaking in. I never did get an answer to why he snuck in, came home early or later hid in the closet when the sheriff came by to talk to him. Part of me was thankful that I didn't shoot first and ask questions later. I know I'd have taken it very hard at that time with the knowledge I had. My conscience wouldn't have let me rest especially knowing how it would have harmed the kids even though I truly felt our lives were in jeopardy at the time. To be honest, a small part of me later on, almost makes me wish I had after many bad acts of his.
