I could see a scenario that could look like what Septa routes would be still around like the 2030 map shows....

I think the Cynwyd Line will be gone within a year or two, not enough ridership to justify keeping it running

I just did a head end ride video on the line on Wednesday. Much-maligned line and very short and very lowly patronized but it has an interesting history

The line clearly has always gone that way. however PRR/PC probably chopped it off. I say that because those are clearly 1930 catenaries @ 2:21.
@rwboa226 жыл бұрын
Before all of the rerouting done by the PRR/PC/Amtrak, all PRR passenger trains (Philadelphia-Chicago & Philadelphia-Schyulkill Valley) used that bridge, as all that open right-of-way was the massive Overbrook freight yard. SEPTA at least still uses it for Silverliner maintenance (the Frazer yard handling the push-pull coaches and both the retiring AEM-7 and the new ACS-64 locomotives).

Well done bringing some away fans, its hard in MLS due to cost and distance of travelling and well its doesn't happen really in USA/Canada in other sports like it does in Soccer. My team is TFC and our team has struggled since we started, we have yet to even make the playoffs once, and the atmosphere has kind of declined over the years (can you blame us, 8 years finished near the bottom every year) this year we didn't even have a big away trip but previous years we have usually made at least 1 big away trip with other smaller travelling numbers through out the year, last year we had over 3,000- 3,500 TFC fans travel up to Montreal (some say over 4,000, but I don't think the real number was as high as that), we had around over 2,500 and over 1,500 both times to Columbus in passed years and few hundred to other locations and games over the years. Away days are the best, TFC has been good at that, and I love to see more of this in MLS, helps bring up the atmosphere and its part of being a soccer supporter traveling to see your team play, next year New England try to match our over 3,000 record, and bring some bigger flags and some banners to hang up next time!!!

Coming from 30th St in the morning it went south and did a series of reverse moves around Gray's Ferry to access the CSX trackage. Coming back at night, it went over the West Philadelphia Elevated (High Line) and reversed back up to 30th St, since the track work was done for the day.

@tazamack The ride of the newer ones seem smoother & the acceleration is better. The only thing I like about the Silverliner VI is the power outlets, I couldn't find them on the Silverliner V. I thought ours would have them since the Metro North M8's have them.
