I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you have the fog light cover and the plastic guards underneath you should be fine. Just be careful to not hot boost in rainy weather, even i do that to take extra precaution.

Yea i painted it. Just used some black spray paint I had laying around. It was actually some high heat resistant special paint or something but you can use just regular black spray paint from home depot that would work fine.

yea warranty was the thing stopping me too, But it got close to being up so i just pulled the trigger haha

@@lukelopez5123 yeah I’m about to aswell but it’s like this K tunner is the best bang for buck they say most hp for money But if I get a tune then that means a clutch K tunner $900 where I’m from Clutch I want $1400 Clutch labour $1000 So that’s like $2300 to bite off and think about

Not muffler deleted...well kinda. Its the Maperformance exhaust and the Race version doesnt come with a muffler just a resonator...so technically it is muffler deleted i guess haha

both give off the same “blow off” noise, its really personal preference. Short ram will just suck in hotter air but combined with an aftermarket intercooler, it shouldn’t be a huge deal.

short ram should sound somewhat the same more or less. shouldnt really matter if its automatic or not

@Johnny R8 Go with cold air intake. These cars are prone to heat-soaking which would only be worse if you go in for a short ram.

My exhaust is the Maperformance Race catback. Paired with a catless downpipe

at the moment just intake, intercooler with charge pipes catless 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back, and a tune. Thats all

Find an intake specifically for you car, and I did go under the car, just didnt film that part haha. Usually companies include everything you need to install the intakes!

A BOV on a MAF car would mess up the fueling when the valve is open (stoplights and at light throttle). Not recommended to run a BOV unless you get a dyno/street tune to compensate for it.

@@kg_1720 The mass air flow sensor will sense the air coming into the engine, but since the BOV is after the sensor once the valve opens it’ll dump air that has already been “accounted for” and it would cause a rich condition. It would only happen at idle or at very light throttle, but I’ve seen many cars either stall or gush black smoke from running blow off valves with a MAF sensor. People will fix this issue by converting the sensor to a MAP sensor (pressure sensor), which monitors the boost pressure itself, but that is a very in depth conversion which 99.9% of people will not do and it would cost a lot of money and include a lot of fabrication. In short, run an aftermarket BPV and that should increase noise a little bit, I’ve also heard of people having good luck with 50/50 recirc/atmosphere valves. If holding high boost is an issue with the stock valve a replacement BPV is 100% the best option.

no blow off valve here. Just pure intake noise. 10th gens are maf based cars basically meaning a blow off valve will cause your engine to not run properly and overtime damage it

Nice that’s crazy it sounds like that from the intake. Very nice yeah I made the mistake of putting a bov for a couple days and could tell it wasn’t running properly. Good video though 👍

Yup. 3inch turbo back! exhaust just has a resonator. I think i can see myself switching to the Ark exhaust sometime in the future because the drone at about 3500k rpm is actual pain haha

i believe it might be possible. Turbo makes it louder for obvious reasons. and the tune is only required for the bigger intake housing. I might upgrade to it in the future.

I have an lx and the lx has the turbo

@@theskyisthelimit4749 it doesn't the LX is a 2.0L while the EX and above is a 1.5L Turbo. So we have a better engine they just have a little more power

The front bumber fog light cover does a great job of keeping water from getting into the intake. I worried about the same thing haha iv driven in rain no problem. I do plan to replace the fog light cover with a vented one. The intake can get wet no problem just dont wide open throttle if its wet. That would be the only way water gets in

I did not get a code. If you got the RACE maf housing and do not have a tune you might get a code. If you got the street, just make sure all the clamps are tightened and the maf sensor especially.

The intake piece from the turbo inlet to the maf sensor has one larger side than the other on the race. If your still unsure, get in contact or find the facebook post to see if the seller mentioned if its a street or race maf.

Lean bank 1 code usually means its getting too much air, which might mean its the race maf which requires a tune. Our civics have a learning ecu which basically means most bolt ons will add power without a tune. The race intake obviously is pushing way more air than the ecu is familiar with, so thats why a tune is required for that one.
