Proof the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree: sounds and looks a lot like her mom, which is to say beautiful on all levels!

The hallmark of a great melody is that it works well in any setting. Here the ancient hymn (Slane) is brought to life as Mr Snider swings it on his harmonica - sounds just great. Yes! For an equally good, but different, Bluegrass arrangement see the Purple Hulls here on uTube. Hint: To go straight to the music and bypass the jokes, start at 3min 30...

My wife and I wandered into the Station Inn years ago while we were on an anniversary trip. We were lucky enough to catch Harley Allen and his band. I was blown away...stunned. Such a tight, intimate space, with such an otherworldly band. Mr. Allen is gone now, unfortunately...Rest in Peace...but they have great acts every night. Go if you can.

I just posted a cover of this amazing song you wrote! I'm curious, was it actually 99 percent your creation (then, Miranda changed/re-arranged a word or two?) ...I think, probably so! (But, tell me if I am wrong! I adore her work anyways!) But, I kinda think I grok publishing!

I wonder if he means 'Old Yeller' in the mid-fifties. I watched that movie as a 6-year-old and bawled for hours when his dog was put down. My first experience with true grief.

Wife and I did nine consecutive Sandy Beaches cruises and this was one of them. Fred was always one of the best acts among many greats. Also had the opportunity to have a lengthy chat with him when he was doing a solo gig in Juneau, Alaska (at a church, no less). He’s a true original!

They tore down the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, but before that I got to see Jimmy Ibbotson with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in the 1970's. He invited us to his house in Topanga Canyon, where we visited for a few hours. I think I was maybe 16 years old, but I did go with my mom and friends.
