Crazy how far this car has come present day vs back when this pass was made. I love how well it does with such a simple setup. I just finished putting together a ~13.5:1 B20V with some Tuner 2s for a coworkers time attack EK and I’m excited for him to stick it back in the car so I can really see what it can do. I don’t much get to see any B/D/H series stuff these days.

Nice pass. Definitely good to see people still running the platform. You can still get things done with a simple 2L B series even in 2024.

So they have a nitro compatible ignition system. And I guess the pistons and head gadget must be special?

@dennisrobinson8008 Your your saying they dont run nitro methane in that car?????Pistons and headgasket got nothing to do with nitro methane.Dont get me wrong this is impressive but you are not going to run these times on pump fuel or methanol on a N/A B series.Been there done that

@dewaldswart2076 I said they most likely are running nitro in that car. I don't know nitro but I know it's over 2x more powerful than gasoline. I assumed the pistons and head gaskets also must be stronger. I know that nitro requires a much more powerful ignition system.

@@dennisrobinson8008 Sorry misunderstood you,yes nitro is some potent stuff.People on pump gas on methanol cant even compare close to these cars and they scratch heads and wonder why their buold dont make 100+hp more.Pistons and headgasket dont really matter but yes ignition.....fuelling and a tuner that knows his shit.Otherwise you will see some pistons kiss the bonnet lol

@dewaldswart2076 yep. I'm pretty sure those racing imports are mostly or all nitro by now so it's over a 2x increase over gas. So the import guys 400 to 500whp high rpm builds on gas will be 800 to 1000whp on the nitro. I used to look down on 4 bangers but with modern turbos they can be Hella fun. The import guys also showed they can make a good amount all n/a lol but it'll have a powerband like a race bike. Not good for the street. But it certainly makes cool sounds and the high rpm during racing must be a blast.

They usually only use 4 gear shifts when drag racing. If he shifted to 5th, it would have lost a bit of time. But it does sound like the ratios are really close together

@Givelasagna yeah I know it's 4 gears he have, just sounded like he hit the max of 4th, the ratios will be a bit shorter since it's an all motor car and it isn't trapping that high of a top speed like a turbo sfwd car
