Hey Jay, please know your comment brought me a lot of joy from a real down place. I really appreciate and respect where you're coming from, from a life of music it sounds like - I guess some of us burn so bright and fast. Jason left a huge mark on all of us and continues to do so with new listeners by the day. Music has the power to do that, as you know. shortly after recording this I quit my job to move to shanghai and pursue music full time. That was 4 years ago now, and now I'm off to Hong Kong to do the same, and maybe back to the usa after that since I know more than 3 chords now, haha,. But its encouragement that's kept me going all the way. So thank you so much

In fact, since you’re studying music I’d suggest you become familiar with all of Neil Young up to 1979, when he released “Rust Never Sleeps.” After that, there’s not much new to discover, Imo- I found this record when I was 14 and it’s considered a classic for the type of music you’re exploring- especially the last song- “ambulance blues.” - it’s got shades of Jason’s style- only he was 1 year old when it was released. - lol Thank God for YT so we have these treasures at our fingertips- Hope i didn’t overwhelm you w songs- I’m a Life long leaner and teacher, so I guess it’s just my nature-lol- And keep Me posted on your progress- I’d love to Hear some of own songs if you’ve started writing them If not- get busy!!
