Okay, I commented late last night that this looks like fun...well as of this morning I can't thank you enough for this really motivating project. My jumbo journal journey has begun and it is the perfect project for me. I've made many smaller journals but never thought to go this large. I used a long-arm stapler to quickly staple the pages together and will probably sew it when I have more time and patience, and may make this my 100 day project, adding something everyday ... again, a million thanks.

I just recently got a long arm stapler and I'll have to try that!

Is there a flip through of the christmas journal? I was on Amazon (AUS) and there's no other images other than the front cover I am always grateful for the content you do post here on KZbin and love how creative you are not just art wise but business wise - making your living in different avenues! It's so cool. I'm so stuck in the society's expectations of having a "job" and so afraid to take a risk...Hope my kids end up like you... This makes me sound so old lol. I'm only 37. Thankful also for being alive for 27 years.

Thank YOU James. For sharing your exquisite art, ideas and love for what you do. When stumbled in to the art journaling world, you helped shaped my journals and since then I have been eternally grateful that you still make your content accessible free for all. I adore you. I love listening to your videos and watching your facial expressions (too funny) but truly I love that I came across your story and your sharing. Happy thanksgiving. Also wish to say my daughter is now 13 she’s been watching your videos for yrs. We often giggled when she was a baby at the things you say ie: gorgina 🤣🤣🤣 just one of your fun words and they way your pronounce it.

Mine were printed in Troutdale OR even though--drum roll---I am 10 hrs away from Las Vegas. Amazon must send the Deco Journal order to the closest printer on a UPS route to the person ordering. THANK YOU James for all that you do and your creativity. Love the anticipation and cannot wait to see Merry Mixed Media.

I really wish I could order them from all over and compare. See if the ones made in Australia are similar to the ones made in Japan. I'll never know! ahahahahaha. They all look the same from the videos and pictures people all over the world have shared with me though :)

HOW did you keep yourself so faithful to write in this every single day?! So amazing. What a gift to yourself to have all of those memories in one place! I’m considering purchasing the 5 year journal for the first time.
@JamesLukeBurkeCreative2 күн бұрын
oh, I DEFININTELY missed days and had to go back and catchup! That happens a lot, but I refer to my camera roll and my planner and jog my memories from that day to make sure they're filled out :)

This is such a wonderfully honest review of this type of journal. I’m starting mine in 2025 & I’m actually looking forward to that confronting feeling - gotta work through that ish! Question: do you do anything with the pre-printed pages in the end? Like after the annual summary pages? I think I’m going to cover mine with…something, but struggling to decide on what!
@JamesLukeBurkeCreative2 күн бұрын
No, the 6 or so pages after the notes ones (that I do "Year in Reviews" on) are just left as is. Didn't even cross my mind to put anything there, but if I did, I would print a full page sized photo for each page. Maybe of a subject I could show the growth of over 5 years? Perhaps I could take a photo of the journal itself at the end of each year and document how chunky it gets each year hahah.

I haven’t really noticed any aging in mine - it’s just a little dirty haha. I’m sure if you had it out in direct sunlight it would fade, but other than that I think it will be fine :)
