As for Taylor she was struggling with addiction during a lot of her last few years on youtube until making this current comeback. (The heater situation was an accident that her heating system failed and went out but she also also admitted that she was using drugs at the time and basically slept thru the times when she should have been checking on some of the animals. She had a video a while ago talking about it.. I know she must feel extreme guilt she basically says like it was an accident but i would have realized it sooner and maybe could have saved some of the animals if she hadnt been high/sleeping (she was taking opiates like her0in that make you really tired .. the 'high' is basically just passing out and sleeping a lot so she slept thru some of her checks and neglected the animals . She said they WERE alway fed and had basic needs met in that way but admitted to neglecting them and basically not being as emotionally invested during that time. As someone whos also battled addiction i do feel for her and cant imagine the guilt she would have as an animal lover. I DO hope she will do a better job and be more attentive now that she has been sober (and hopefully stays that way)

I feel like that heater issue could have happened to anyone with these delicate animals. As mentioned when you have so many, there will be more losses. Yeah I know she had addiction issues and mental health. For sure that effects the care. That is why I recommend less animals. She also has EDS! That is a LOT. SO basically, my opinion is less is more. For her that might mean 10 is enough. 10 is enough to have a show, and not too many. But it is her choice.
@ariannasantina9 күн бұрын
@@MommyCassReborns yea around 10 is what I have (4 birds, 2 goats, 2 cats, 1 dog- so technically 9 right now but i had 5 birds before 1 passed and i would be open to 1 or 2 more birds at the most but am not looking for one- i only adopted another bird before because it was a rescue who needed a home and i knew i could provide a good home for him so if something like that happened i MAY be open to it but am good with what i have now not seeking any more animal) The number i have now is do-able for me but i would not want to have more than that. My animals are well taken care of and like to be able to give them all atttention. But yea even with just EDS sometimes its hard there are occasional times where i feel like ive neglected them like sometime the birds cage gets a little more dirty than id like for it to get if im having a bad week and dont get to cleaning it (usually clean it like changing the paper and stuff every week and deep clean it once a month like taking out and washing all the toys and stuff too cause i dont do that every time) And sometiems the goats just dont get enough attention cause they are outside and its too cold in the winter for me to stay out there with them for very long without my joints aching from the cold. The dog is not REALLY ever neglected but sometimes i feel bad if i havent played with her enough she pouts about it and makes me feel bad haha. But Loony could play ALL DAY ... and we do make sure to have a play session every day she just pouts if she doesnt get to go to the dog park etc and then i feel bad if i havent taken her to see her friends in a few days lol. So yea I will at least admit the areas where I can improve . So i would not want to have more animals if i can still use improvement here and there with the ones i do have already. Its interesting when you are ill and disabled because it can be hard to keep up with stuff BUT having the animals is what keeps us going and keeps us motivated to try to do more as we love them and want to give them a good life

every basic vet visit ive been to has never been under 200 dollars. id say average for just BASIC level care vacc or diagnostics are 200-300 dollars a visit before any actual treatment.
@MommyCassReborns9 күн бұрын
Not for a reptile around here. It's about $125 to walk in the door for an exam fee. about 100 plus for diagnostics. About 100 for treatment. If it is easily treated with a broad spectrum anti-biotic maybe $75
@ariannasantina9 күн бұрын
@@MommyCassReborns yea exotics will run you much more (like reptiles, birds, etc) I was meaning basic vet care for like a cat or dog and saying how even THAT is super expensive between 2 and 3 hundred dollars just at the basic lvl before any treatment so exotic animals are even that much more

I hate the 'snake drawers' the most. What is even the point of having a pet at all if you're gonig ot literally stuff it in a DRAWER... you cant even really see it from in there without pulling the drawer out for a second ... get an aquarium or enclosure where you can look at your animals and they can move around
@MommyCassReborns9 күн бұрын
Like mentioned, the utilitarian methods are not a bad idea if it benefits the animal. But the snake drawer is NOT my favorite way.

sometimes the mods act like its THEIR channel and anything they do is set in stone. its YOUR channel and if you look over the reciepts and decide that the other mod was prob right to unblock the person then thats your call. they are blocking people who could be potential viewers and subscribers on your channel so thats your decision to make, not theirs. mods are supposed to be there just to help you out but a lot of them get a bit 'block-happy' (not just on your channel ive seen it a lot that people who become mods have a bit of a power trip lol) Im a little late to block sometimes but i like to give people a chance and only block when people are truly being inflammatory as i dont feel comfortable making that call on someone elses channel unless its pretty obvious they are trying to start sh!t, trolling, spamming, etc.

also she prob couldnt say what would happen if the dog did bite someone etc cause yea it has to do with state law AND what the exact situation was etc.. like a lot of things legally can go down different paths depending on the context surrounding what exactly happened in that specific situation. theres not always a one-size-fits-all as to what is going to happen to you and your dog if it bites but it DEFINITELY opens your dog and yourself up to legal ramifications with the law, animals control, etc (and potentially deadly if your dog is mandated to be seized and put down ) either way its not good tho
@ariannasantinaАй бұрын
i think what shes saying is doing bite work and gaurd work doesnt make it NOT a service dog, but it is also NOT covered under the ADA if your dog does biting and bark and hold etc in public then they can be asked to leave because their dog will no longer be protected when it displays that behavior. I think the woman on the phone also realizes that it is problematic and the language in the ADA has flaws.. because the dog wont be protected in that moment but not neccesarily says its not a service dog or needs to wash.. but service dogs really ARE NOT supposed to show agression (thats why they wont be covered or protected by ADA) its like... you're still technically a service dog but you lose your right to be here publically if your dog acts like that.. and yes it puts your dog at risk if the dog bites or someone calls on it for being an aggressive nuisance (i mean... kind of like how at-home service dogs dont neccesarily have to be perfectly behaved either because they arent trained for public access.... your dog loses the "right" to be in public when its acting like that... but theres no language in the ada that strips a dog of its rights for being agressive once or twice, only while its happening in public... (but like... we all know a service dog should NOT be agressive and reactive... like ANY trainer worth their degree will tell you that.)
@MommyCassRebornsАй бұрын
Yes, she clearly had to be careful what she says. But their are these "grey areas". I know her time was valuable so she wanted me off the phone so she could take other calls but, she is helping not just me but all of us who need to know! What we did learn was that, bite work is NOT mentioned under the ADA. And Bark and holds to look aggressive and, any aggressiveness is NOT protected under the ADA. So I did learn so much! I am on the same page as you Ari. It was interesting right?
@ariannasantinaАй бұрын
@@MommyCassReborns yea it was really interesting and a good PSA to have that LIVE on the internet hearing from someone directly at the DOJ/ada . it was good to also clear up the bite work stuff cause so much misinformation is spread in the SD community its good to have some things cleared up. also you handled yourself great on the phone! but yea they only have so much time to spend on one call
@TrickyChiАй бұрын
the Ada laws for service dogs are very clear it cannot be aggressive or do violent protection IT CANNOT BE BARKING GROWLING BAREING TEETH OR LUNGING THATS CONCIDERED UNDER THE ADA LAW AS OUT OF CONTROL AND A THREAT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OTHERS AND AGAINST THE ADA LAW
@jennyrose2200Ай бұрын
A service dog must be under the control of it's person at all times. They are allowed to be trained to exhibit intimidation behaviors, such as standing between the handler and another person, watch my back and signal silently by nudging or licking to notify someone is nearby and barking on command. Teaching behaviors on command is just another trained behavior and has nothing to do with aggression or protection training. Many people with PTSD are uncomfortable when people get too close. No service dog should be trained in bite work or snarling/growling.
@shakeyj4523Ай бұрын
The bark behavior is problematic as a dog can be removed for being disruptive. A single bark is not an issue in most places, but consistent barking in a crowded place would be unacceptable. They are also NOT intimidation behaviors as those would be illegal. What you are talking about are sham behaviors. The "watch my back" doesn't even have to be trained. You can just say that in place of "behind" or wherever you want to place the dog. I use "guard" but my dogs are never trained any guarding behaviors. The language is clear in the NPRM.
@MommyCassRebornsАй бұрын
I need more clarification on the barking on command that was discouraged from what I read. Especially as it interferes with the fundamental use of a business. Bark and holds are NOT protected under the ADA and not to be considered a task. But the ADA never mentioned BIte work for sport leaving that as a viable pass time and not protected under the ADA
@MommyCassRebornsАй бұрын
@@shakeyj4523 Exaktly! That is what I understood also!

Service dogs should be so overweight. Im sorry but that dog is more like an ESA, it has zero focus on you as the handler
@danijmelАй бұрын
It's called a bark hold and PPD can not be the dogs only task. A service dog can do dog sports such as IGP or PSA.
@MommyCassRebornsАй бұрын
It is against ADA law. People will do what they wish but service dogs are not to show any aggression. A bark and hold as ou say--being taught to scare off attackers is considered aggressive. Rebranding it will not change the fact that a dog, pulling forward lunging forward teeth bared loudly barking growling, and snarling is NOT protected under the ADA and is expressly forbidden under their tutelage.
@shakeyj4523Ай бұрын
@@MommyCassReborns I explained this, but my comment was removed. Was that you, or You Tube. I was in the group that wanted them to clarify what minimal protection means, and were against the training facilities training aggression.
@MommyCassRebornsАй бұрын
@@shakeyj4523 I did not see your comment. From the Call to The DOJ and my research minimal protection would be, a dog blocking with their body, getting your medicine for you, interupting self-harm, keeping you safe in a seizure. Agression is NEVER protected under the ADA nor is anything that appears as agressive. Bark and holds are NOT protected, it is NOT considered as a task under the ADA. Where the other handler was CORRECT is that if she did it as sport or bite work that is allowed when the dog is NOT working as sport. So bit work as sport and, protection work as sport is allowed. Perhaps even used in her home it is allowed but NOT protected under the ADA.
