The Line / Inst button determines the gain for the input it does not deal with the insert jacks on the back.

@@kshago2036 go to edit ,select preference, go to general, you will see a section that say start up, on that, select Empty + Fx ,then that should do it so everytime you start up reason it will start with the send Fx on the mixer

So my analog vocal chain is going throgh a Nieve pre amp/EQ and distressor if I add the behringer can I bypass the compressor? I want to use this device for the other effects like reverb delay

Yes you can ,i have added another processor as well before the FX 2000 i can bypass it and on if i need to add some taste from it

its just had "no audio inputs avalable please check your soundcard settings" im using the AT2020USB-X mic and my PC sees it and all but reason doesnt!! pissing me off heaps cos i have been at it for hours trying to get Reason to recognise the mic. it shows up in the preferences though! but in the audio input selection there is nothing

May i suggest u try using the FL asio drivers, the ones that comes with FL studio not the asio4all ... they work great as well...the routing happens automatically...

i had the same problem but here is how i figured it out, you have to search, download and install the specific driver to your device. if you do that it will show up. It worked for me.

What i do is put my tag dry unprocessed and just add the effects in reason as everything else ,it sounds great for me am not sure what could be wrong with your tag but if its already processed then try this way, it might help

Well it depends on what preset your using ,reverbs ..delays...flanger and other effect should work properly with the mix knob....while compressor presets that button act as a by pass button....drop me your whatsapp number in my mail i will video call u n help u better that way

How are you getting that pitch correction on your voice. For years I've tried but the only thing that works is a cell phone app but the quality of the output (fidelity-wise) is not sufficient for a professional song.

Hi bro I tried, AutoTune, Waves, and even Izotope. None worked well. A cell phone app worked but the fidelity is terrible! I appreciate your taking time to respond. BTW: I have watched various KZbin videos and tried the steps but in the end the autotune only sounds about 50% like actual autotune (other than the cell phone app). @@djlilthapro2087

Um, that is NOT a compressor. It's an FX processor. It may have some compressor like effects, but you should have got a real compressor to do a compressor video. I appreciate what you're trying to do here, but giving new folks WRONG information isn't good.

@Chmied I have this fx2000 and i can tell you that the compressor once you go into the settings and adjust it it does exact same thing like a regular affordable compressor that's on the market and its good enough for home recordings.

And when searching for videos about the FX2000, this video comes up, but this video is only about one very small aspect of this unit. This videos is great, super helpful information, just think the title could be clearer for those who maybe just purchased the unit and are looking for direction.
