I am not a tech, Geraldine, sorry, I don't service the machines. The problem you are experiencing requires a service technician to check it and find what the problem is. Hello did you ever got someone on utube that was helpful and if u have could u share the links I too just got one from eBay and forgot to remove embroidery foot so needle broke and I think timer or something got off I can not get it to function animore😩

Jacqueline, most dealers have a short warranty on their work. I would check with them and tell them you still have the same issue. Where is the sound coming from, can you tell?

No oiling required by us, the consumers, though I believe there are a few areas that require "grease" or oil in the inner workings and only a certified tech should be doing that. They have the tools and knowledge of how to remove the housing to get to those points. I do not possess that knowledge :-(

Linda Poling No, a technician has to service that area. He has to remove the plastic housing which has many wires connected between it and the inner shell. It's like a maze in there, lol! It is recommended to have your machine serviced by a certified tech every year if used regularly. The bobbin area should be cleaned as shown in the video, after every project, and more frequently if working with fleece or other "linty" fabrics
