As a beginner to line dancing, this was challenging to learn at this past Borderline's event. I didn't see all the movements in the last 8 counts but this tutorial covered them nicely. I heard Cowgirls play at Ventucky Stompers' event last night and was surprised I retained a bit of the dance, but I didn't join the dance floor. There weren't too many dancers on the floor so hopefully next time I can join and have more fun. Thanks, Candy!

Folks. Fuego is super fun, but it requires a LOT of stamina. If you are an instructor, teach it first so that folks are still fresh and have the energy to get all the way through it.

The original step sheet needs some corrections on the counts (example: 3, 4 3, 4 7, 8) on the last 8 count. But the dance is fun and fast. I like the way you teach it Candy! ❤

On section three, are the toe switches technically Montereys due to the 1/4 turn on every other toe point? If not, what is the difference? Thanks!

I love that you ask that! The choreographer, Rob, refers to them as toe switches. They are the same thing as Montereys. In fact, when I teach it I always explain that. When I am calling the dance out as we dance it, I say switch because it is faster to say LOL.
