I really don't think this is appropriate to post on your main channel - or even in the public domain. I understand it's fictional, but fundamentally it shows midwives, nurses & doctors behaving unprofessionally and dangerously. Including, biased behaviour, dismissing patient concerns and anxieties, understaffing, putting labouring women in danger by ignoring their needs, lack of training/support for temporary staff, and a whole host of other issues Now, I appreciate this is a training video, but it is stated clearly in the beginning that "it has been inspired by real patient and staff experiences." Seriously? These things actually happened at these hospitals? How long ago? Are they still happening? Bearing in mind the Feb CDQ report findings, do you really think that this is appropriate to put on your youtube channel? Fundamentally, it doesn't matter that the video is for training purposes - it doesn't leave one with a great opinion of the hospital(s). Women who are trying to reassure themselves about the safety of giving birth at Epsom/St Helier - given the Feb 2024 report (based on Aug 2023 review) - likely aren't filled with confidence by seeing this.

Dreadful stuff! My friend had dreadful problems with it. Today I spent the day in my daughters bedroom with her. She just spent the day vomiting. How can you drink plenty of fluid when it comes straight back up.

St Helier hospital is the pits my father has been in and out of this hospital continuously since 2010 and he is still suffering badly by their rules of kicking out their patients ill or to cut figures down and getting beds back , they they sent my elderly disabled father home saying he's fit enough to go home then next day he's back there with sepsis, another time they sent him home he had to straight back in again cause they sent him home with phumonia, still he is having lots of health problems that they can't seem to help him with they like patch him up send him home patch him up send him home please do not go to this hospital if you can help it . St Helier is well known for it's terrible services towards their patients

They should have a class such as this to know how to know how the elderly need extra patience and open doors for them. Help, then cross the street be way more understanding for we will each have to go through this :) very great video!! The other side of the real truth!!!! ❤❤❤

Ask for sutab pills instead of moviprep. They are 12 pills to take in 24 minutes for the night before and 12 pills to take in the morning. They are tasteless so much better than the disgusting taste of moviprep.

Straws do not work. They just prolong the inevitable. What helps is in you take a few sips of the prep mix and then take a few sips of ginger ale or some other allowed clear-looking drink.

It is funny that comment of SBAR was criticised. Yes nursing tutors drill everyone with SBAR. How many of the nurses know how exactly to report using SBAR and how many of them do it? Implement as second nature in their work?

If you have Emetaphobio, this is hell! 😢 Ever since I received my letter I have been suffering from panic attacks, anxiety and stress, and shaking. I hope it's not bad. But I am so scared of everything that is involved. ☹️ 😬

Ugh phobias are awful. I've got one of pipes and tubes being stuck in places they shouldn't . I also need a colonoscopy as I've had bowel issues for two years. Hell knows what I'm gonna do. I can't live with this issue, yet I can't see myself plucking up the courage to get a colonoscopy either.

I will have to get a colonoscopy down the road because there’s a history of colon cancer in my family. I understand you are sedated but that’s what I’m the most concerned about because I have tricky veins and a fear of needles. My mom who’s had plenty of these tests assured me that I can be given nitrous oxide sedation during the IV insertion. This worked wonders when I had major surgery 2 years ago, my surgeon witnessed me having a meltdown as I said goodbye to my service dog who was with me. He then said to the anaesthesiologist that laughing gas would be a good idea to take the edge off. I had about 5 litres (50%) gas and I held the mask over my face. The anesthesiologist was AMAZING, told me every little thing he was doing and telling me what I’d feel. I did feel the prick of the lidocaine injection going in but because of the laughing gas my brain was in that “I don’t care” mode. It went so smoothly. If you are a very anxious person like I am i highly suggest talking to your doctor about laughing gas sedation during iv placements

Yeah this hasn't convinced me. Given the doctors are just box ticking for this procedure (their words), I'm done with them. Not for me, nope. Thanks anyway.

Currently drinking mine!!! My husband added tropical squash to mine, it's making it more manageable, add several ice cubes to the "drink" & use a straw placed as far back on your tongue as is comfortable, I've been trying to get it down in two to three gulps. It's not something you want to drink on a daily basis, but add flavoured squash & it's manageable. I'm sure if the company tried though it could make this much more palatable, I have no idea why they can't add something to give a better taste, profit i guess! Oh well From the first glass to "going" for me was about 45-60 minutes, you will have to learn to run later! Bathroom.. I have flushable wet wipes, my new best friend!! Also I have sudocrem, apply this after after every movement, its a must!! Have a magazine or some games on your charged phone, you're in the bathroom a fair while. There have been no accidents, no cramps, I was pretty nauseous, the ice helps, suck a piece in-between the prep, drink plenty of ordinary fluids too & keep reminding yourself It's going to be worth it. Update: slept quite well with only 2 visits to the bathroom, woke at 7,30, showers & got to the hospital by 8.15, I wouldn't get up to early if I were you, it'll make you want to eat it drink & nerves grow. Didn't feel the need to "go again" at all. The staff at the hospital were amazing, I was first down so lucky there, got light sedation and had both endoscopy & colonoscopy (lucky me!!) It took about an hour, time flies in there, you're also given some pain relief if needed & oxygen. Then back to the ward to wake up properly with a cup of tea & a biscuit. My results were really good with no follow up needed. It's natural to be nervous, but hope you all have good results like I did. Good luck x
