Love your videos. I grew up in Lynn Valley, went to LV Elementary and Argyle secondary. I remember as a kid all those places like Lynn Headwaters we off limits, no public allowed. This was because all that area was part of the District of North Vancouver water shed. Then in the early 80's, there were terrible rains, creeks in the area were swollen to maximum levels. Lynn Creek was no exception and part of the hill side near the 30 foot pool gave way. Anyway, loved the Lynn Peak hike, I did that many years ago once it opened. Have you ever done the Grouse Mountain skyline trail? Thanks.

Thank you for your comment! I didn’t know that about the slide near the 30 foot pool. It sure can rain hard in Lynn Valley, especially in November/December. I’ve never done the skyline trail up grouse. It looks super steep, a bit intimidating.

@@WalksOfWonder-BC Yeah it sure can rain during the winter months, I use to deliver papers and wondered if I would need a boat to do my route. Skyline trail is very steep, but no more than Haines Valley route, which I saw you did. Plus there are some interesting artifacts on that trail. Mainly the wreckage of an American Airforce F-86 Sabre which crashed on Grouse mountain back in 1954.

THANK YOU!!!! I had to return to my country due to family issues, but I miss Canada and BC terribly. I used to walk the paths near public transit, so there were always some people walking by, but I'd look for quiet corners near the trails, and sit under some glorious tree, with a book and my thermos with some comforting tea. Those were the most serene, blessed times of my now long life...how much I miss Metro Vanvouver forests!!! So your walk takes me right back, the forest paths stay in my cellular memoy and in my soul forever. So grateful for your posts,❤❤!!!

Great video - haven't walked there in a while, so this was excellent. Probably not likely but is there a way to see your videos without the ad interruptions (which I know are revenue for you, so I get it)?

Thanks for your feedback. The way I got rid of ads is by subscribing to KZbin Premium. Sometimes they have a 3 month promotion where you can try for free. 😊

I don’t but I probably should. Bear sightings are quite rare, and normally they just run away when they see you. But it’s a good idea to carry some bear spray just in case

Thanks so much! Yes, the lower trails usually stay green aside from that week or two of snow that we may or may not get. BC is a gorgeous place and despite having lived here my whole life, I'm still always finding new magical and gorgeous places. It's huge and there's so much geographic diversity. Lots to do and see within a 5 hour drive of Vancouver.
