In a nutshell "all this bullshit." Nice to know we still have a few northern neighbors who retain common sense. An auction load of used tooling located in Delta, BC, that I could have retrieved myself in a day with a pickup truck from Port Angeles, WA for less than $100 in fuel and ferry tolls, ended up costing me $670 in freight, brokerage fees and customs (even though the country of origin was USA) because Canadian Border Agents would not let us enter the country. Oh, and they arrived rusty due to the extend delay sitting exposed in wet weather. I'll never participate in another Canadian auction unless I can locate a reliable smuggler in advance. Man! Do I ever miss the days when, even if packing a .44 Magnum revolver, all one had to do was be honest and allow border agents to "seal" the weapon in a plastic bag when one was transiting through Canada to, or from, Alaska. It really is! this is the place where there are luxury hotels en mass and the Samaritan food kitchen is so strapped they cannot even afford to assist the migrants they have housed there.
