How many gallons is your tank? Given the tank is by the window, any algae issues? Did you consider using a sump?

Its too bad that you are missing out on the gas exchange. If you switch over to a sump then you have it. Brother you anint got no agitation.

Having a pvc bottom makes so much sense... Almost all the tanks i have seen (or know of have a glass bottom of the same glass thickness as side walls...

You sir are a hack. You don't even know the proper name for a ball valve. Never put Silicone on a bulkhead fitting and why would u put a canister filter on a drilled tank ??? This video should be called how to NOT plumb a drilled tank.

First time doing a project like this so I'm bound to get some of the terminology mixed up. But tank has been running for over 6 months at this point. No issues whatsoever. Canister filters have worked perfectly up to this point and fish all thriving! Have a great day
