@@ross.neuberth the main bridge in new Bern has nice striped bass as well as redfish and trout certain times of the year. If you go inshore past the railroad tracks you need a freshwater license but cut bait under the I70 bridge next to Lawson creek park produces fish too.

That poor brainless baby cannot survive there on its own and its hind leg is lame. Couldn't you take it home and look after it for 2 months? Do not be ungrateful and betray the poor and devoted animals that give you food, dangerous animals will eat the baby gazelle.

If you come across injured wildlife, after pulling it out of the water, I hope you do what needs to be done to save this helpless animal. That's what wildlife sanctuaries are there for. The fawn was obviously in distress and injuried. I wish people would learn from these videos. They pulled the fawn from the water but, sadly, did not go one to rescue an injured animal.

There is truly little in life more frustrating that watching absolute, Grade A, supreme dolts trying to "rescue" an animal. One has to wonder if the stranded animal would've been better off having never been "rescued" in the first place.

Anyone commenting here a neighborly "nice" thanks to you is either blind or just does not get it! You certainly don't. Let's look at the facts. No, you didn't save the "baby deer," you brought it to shore. She was obviously in distress. Her breathing was labored. Complete helpless exhaustion. Her right back leg guarded. Have you heard of Wildlife Reserve? But, more so, you were going out of town so you decided to leave her? I regret watching this video. You knew. You knew that this fawn was in great distress, and yet, you pose for the video, looking forward to telling anyone who will listen to your marvelous heroic story, that you saved a baby deer. SHAME ON YOU. Remove this video! This is disgusting!!!!

If the mother is nearby, her baby's screams will bring her to it. Maybe they should've called a wildlife center first, but I find it stupid to get angry at someone JUST for recording themselves saving an animal.
@catherinelind4743
@catherinelind4743 4 ай бұрын
@Dylan-Frost Maybe? Stupid? Watch the video again. Either they are ignorant or chose to be. Posing with this fawn before their trip is the kicker. They could see that the fawn was injured but they had other plans. Fawns are fragile. I guarantee you, this one was easy prey with those injuries and the injuries most likely, left unattended, killed it. I hope they saw my comment instead of being another thank you because the next time they see a helpless animal, they will respond appropriately! Angry? What about the fawn! Think about the fawn. Let's make this educational. I'm not one bit worried about hurting their feelings in order to bring attention to what was wrong with this video.
