I bit the bullet and downloaded CS2 yesterday and immediately started watching your first Beginner's Guide videos. I know you've been CS videos for a while too but never liked the look of the game until the second one was released. There is so much about the game that seems to have been taken from SC2013 but it did also feel so much more overwhelming when you first start out. That's why I knew if I came to your channel you'd be able to offer the best advice when starting out. I find your style of video making so calming and your detailed explanations easier to understand than some others on YT. Anyway, looking forward to following along with this one! Also I figured out one problem with my megatowers, it seems I need to add more low skilled sims in my city since they kept complaining they're being worked to the bone lol my bad. Last question is how can I run this Cities Skylines 2 game better? It uses my usual Nvidia settings and then when I'm into the game maybe a minute it crashes and closes it. But it runs fine tho, maybe its too high resolution or some graphic setting is set too high?

If i am drilling for oil in my city and also have oil power plant would i still need to put on global deliverer's? also could i use my oil I'm drilling to power my city as well as sell the oil at the same time?

Also, I think there's no problem on putting the scrubber on top of the polluted ground, it's just that you demolished some that had pollution inside still 😅 but they also seem to stop accumulating pollution enough to poof it out at some point, so... It's weird 🤷🏻‍♀️

Radiation seems harder to clean than ground pollution, it looks like... It's been a long project, as you'd prefer, but also very meticulous to clean those tiny stains that remain 😅

Appreciate the praise for Willow Woods! It turned out to be one of my favorite cities I’ve done. The only chronic issue I had was education. Tried my best to get to 5/5 but could never get everyone enrolled. Traffic has its limits I guess. I didn’t use any Cities of Tomorrow, I think I just have more fun that way.

I usually wing it, and I think a bit more planning with your POV would be great. 😁

Hi, I'm the mayor of the 2nd city in this video. I wanted to build an Academy city so only Academy and nothing else. The high rises is the main district and the medium rises is just a feeder district. I kept the roads there on medium cause with high-rise there it would just mess up the city. High wealth doesn't uses busses or trams only Maglev. When I last played the city the Academy was full with workers, I even had unemployment on high wealth, so don't know why it's empty now. I had only the sewage sanitizer for water/sanitation, but since the city is highly educated so they don't put out a lot of sanitation that can turn in to water, when I noticed this, the floor in the mega-tower was unhappy, so I added an extra water pump. The crown used to be a park, but since there is no specialization to turn in to money, I went for the advertisment crown otherwise I would be in the red. To answer your questions, the busstop in the main disctric I missed while deleting, I added them so the medium wealth people could use them to get out of the city or move around with the busses from the region. I added park&ride at the entrance so incomming comuters could park their car and walk to the Maglev closeby. But then came tourists and students went on them and left for the reason never to return untill I had a 50% attendence rate while every house was green. I turned the Washington monument off because toursist came by car and the whole city was congested with cars, so I turned it off cause I don't want tourists, the city has it's morning rush hour but the roads are mostly empty during the day. I had a branch off on the main aritirity road next to the police station in to the medium rise district but cars would pile up to the highway, so I removed it since the workers could shop in that district, studets can go to school there as well and every one else could use that road to get in the main district. Also the other landmark functions as an apartment complex so it helps with low and medium wealth workers to get schools etc running

Oh. I forgot the last couple of times to tell you that if you "Hold" SHIFT when pointing at a road, it will be marked by the bulldozer. But only to the next crossroad. To switch between mineral overlays, use the numbers above the letters (5-6-7) Coal, Iron ore and Oil.

We definitely deserve a Simcity game, just like this version, but with the ressource and depth of Cityskyline.

Hey Lamar, been watching your simcity videos for while and love them. I've been wondering, do college students take public busses because I can never see them using it even if I place a nonschool bus stop infront of the university or college. Or do they only take school busses even when they go to the college or university? Also little tip, if you press Alt W on your computer, it will give you 100,000 money. Also the cheat only works in single player mode or creative mode.

22:20 For the curved roads, a little trick I use: Connect the avenues just like you did, but push a little further down (it'll become red), then you pull up again to straighten it up and it'll become curved without issue

About the bus stop warning ⚠️ when it appears to me I notice that usually the simulation has built the exit of a house/shop/factory on top of the bus stop, so I just move it 1 dot over and it fixes

Speaking of viewers' suggestions, I'm bringing some feedback on the "Residential zones and commercial mega towers only" city: DON'T DO IT! 😂😂 IT'S A TRAP! I think the game sees the Shop level very differently than the shoppers needed for normal commercial zones. Most of the time, my singular shop level was unhappy, only when my city upgraded to medium density I started getting consistency in happiness for the shop level. Turns out the tower needs shoppers per hour, as for commercial zones, 1 costumer per day is enough! 😂 I even built casinos and tourist traps for low wealth tourists, but I don't think they use the mega towers for shopping... It needs to be confirmed. In other words, it's very difficult to balance. Not impossible, but very challenging. I recommend if you ever get bored of the same zone formula 😅

wonder if you could save some of those abandoned cities🤔 also please check that you have planing mode camera enabled in settings without it i feel like the megatowers dont fit on the screen

Today, i just reinstalled Sim City on my laptop after so many years , i used to play long before they didnt had all these new stuff,but i never knew it needed so much planning, KZbin suddenly recommended ur videos and it made me feel like pulling some time off from a busy life and playing that game again cause its so peaceful haha, And i did install it again, will start playing it as u have shown in ur videos. Hello my guy, came across your video since I discovered I still have Simcity on my PC LOL! Do you have a video that can explain good road layouts to minimize traffic for a city? I keep having good 150k+ cities but the traffic jams are amazing, lol

1:00:00 did you know you can connect the "Oil pump roads" to the main streets, and the simulation will consider taking this route if it's closer to the trade depot? I found out rather recently by accident, you can even connect 2 Oil Wells that way so you never have to take heavy traffic road to deliver oil 🛢️

Small challenge suggestion. In any city that you have at your disposal try to build a hospital (or police/fire building of same tier) with absolutely all existing modules at once. What the maintenance cost of such building would be, and how it would look like, I'm genuenly curious because I never got to that point myself.
