@Aisha Taylor I would watch some detailed videos about nail prep to prevent If ting. They are very helpful. Usually lifting is because Prep was not appropriate or sufficient. I have experienced it myself when I don’t roughen up the nail enough for that gel to stick to. Also I have seen videos using a primer like Young Nails protein bond under the base coat of the builder gel to help with that.

@@pappyone6062 the young nails protein bind is a literal game changer. Before I used their protein bond, my nails would lift within days. I highly recommend using the YN protein bond to prep your nails. My nails lasted for over a month with this. Take nail prep seriously and follow the directions to prep to a T and you’ll see lasting results! Michelle Khan is a great resource and starting point as well as any Young Nails KZbin vids! 😊

Most of the high gloss formulas have a strong event to them. It turned me off one lol. I've only used Essie gel couture top coat so far in the range of "covered bottles" so you can't see, I did feel like to stop the anxiety I had to have a spare bottle at hand. This bottle doesn't appear to be going goopy like other high glossy top coats so I'm going to wait till the end to see if the cover is doing something. But in the mean time I've bought my normal top coats because I have no time for anxiety. I think maybe a thin slice of window into the bottle could be a good idea lol, or a "window cover"you slide up and down.

The tips of the nails take the most beating so they need the extra help to prevent chipping or lifting. Applying the primer to the whole nail won’t hurt anything, it’s just unnecessary. This is designed to be a soak-off overlay, but primer on the whole nail will make it adhere even stronger to the nail and require a longer soak time. Normally, because the tip that has primer is going to be filed off when you trim the length of the nails to repaint them, you’re not going to have to worry about it by the time you get to the soaking part, if you’re soaking it off. I usually use my e-file to take down the length when i file off my gel color that’s over the overlay. Then I soak. No problems because the tip that had primer has been filed off.

Its 25 bucks for a little 8 ml bottle. I find 7.5 ml bottles on wish for 1$ a bottle & its much thicker & quality to be honest. The brand is called "ur sugar"
