Thanks Dr. Lobel! You made our Women's Health Psychology class work out at the recreational center on campus. The entire class went to the gym and did a group workout. I was sore for one week! Thanks for the updated statistics.

Like @mlee2594, I too was one of Dr. Tucker's students 45+ years back now. For me, Stony Brook was difficult. I was not one of Dr. Tucker's best, intuitive students but he was always there for me, kind, compassionate and always willing to help me understand. He was a diamond in my SBU experience and once I discovered him, I added Applied Math as a 2nd Major to Computer Science and took all my Applied Match courses with him. He is incredibly brilliant yet he had so much compassion and zest for really teaching, no matter how smart or, as in my case, dumb one was. I am truly grateful to him as I went on to a successful and long career in computing!

I was Dr. Tucker's student about 45 years ago. His dedication to his students and the field of applied math are still memorable and inspirational. He was truly the best teacher I had at Stony Brook!
