A tune is not needed. P0299 is probably a boost leak somewhere. Possibly wastegate.

Im assuming you have the car tuning or zzp z3 kit. But here is my list that I have. Fyi...I have the z3 kit. Head studs 90lb. Valve springs and 1.9 rockers 60lb. Injectors, zzp 350 in tank fuel pump, new fuel filter! Ngk plugs tr6 gapped 32-35 Fuel pump re wire, alt booster.. That really is the minimum... I blew my stock trans within 1000 miles and that was just from enjoying the new found power...so that very much is a thing! Trans has been great with all updated parts for 10,000 miles now. With a DA of 4000' its running high 11's at 120-121mph. Fare warning..remote tuning is a process and takes weeks to complete if that is what you are doing. You may e85 but we are limited in Oregon. But if you do go that direction then go 80lb. Inj. With big AEM pump.
@bpemotorsports5873 ай бұрын
Yup, Z3 kit with a few extras. 11.50s are the goal. Eventually...

I have these spacers/adapters on my S10 currently. Actually have been on for the last few years and have no issues. In fact I have run these on multiple vehicles over the last 15 years(including autocrossing) with no problems. I've had no bearing problems, no warping or cracking of the spacers... Been just fine.

I'm also interested in doing this, and the reason to do it, for me, is to generally make the whole truck much easier to work on. I find I'm hating working on high trucks. My F250 4x4 has a front hood height of about 54", and I have to get on a ladder just to look around in that engine bay. But the F250 is not easily lowered, with its live axle front end.

head gaskets dont magically heal themselves on these big blocks. your white smoke couldve easily been oil seeping past the valves (Had this happen on a '98 L29) That ticking might be the actual lifter after its wheel has been seized and grounded down. also had that happen to one of mine

The vette is several hundred pounds lighter than the camaro. That’s why everything is a little bit better. I bought a 21’ SS 1LE 6SPD because it was one of the last manual transmission sports cars you could buy new. I’m not a camaro or Chevy or American car guy at all, it’s just what ticked the boxes.

i compromised and got the evil 3rd brother zl1. i always thought GS gearing was for track use. can you wind it out more over a base c7? is gearing different for your 1le? it was on my 5th gen 1le along with 3.90 gearing.
@bpemotorsports58710 ай бұрын
Gearing is probably the worst part of the GS. Way too long. Geared to do 300... The 1LE was shorter.

Cooling hoses need to be vented to the atmosphere with an expansion fill tank. Otherwise you're going to blow o rings .
