There is no such thing as "mind control." Study J. Krishnamurti talks.
@EquanimityLogic
@EquanimityLogic 8 күн бұрын
Thanks Carlos! The 21st century advances in science and technology demonstrates that "Mind Control" is absolutely possible through Consistent meditation. Alan Watts was definitely ahead of his time in speculating about mind control. Today, neuroscientists are able to trace the iron magnetite throughout our 85 billion neural network that we call a brain and study the changes in our circuitry system in response to modifying our behavior. Meditating 10 minutes a day for at-least 2 months results with advanced blood flow to our prefrontal cortex and away from the ventral pathway to the Amygdala (proximity to our hippocampal region), therefore, reducing the synapse activity with emotional reactions and stimulates our logical and rational part of our brain, being our pre-frontal cortex. The word "control" implies force which I completely agree with you, however, the aim of meditation is not to apply force to our thought; which results in the changed neural pathways, different reactivity, and more advanced rationale thinking. This allows us to "control our minds" via non-forced methods, but through knowledge in human physiology. Here is a recent scientific study about meditation and thought processes (I am not associated with this paper, but is worthy of sharing). www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0149763421004140

I had a terrible nights sleep last night, how can I let go of my mind and all the bs that comes along with it.
@EquanimityLogic
@EquanimityLogic 9 күн бұрын
Hey Nebula! The most efficient way to reduce rumination/overthinking and getting caught in a cycle of thought attachment is to meditate. Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce synapse activity and thought impulsivity. Extremely useful to reduce BS thought patterns and improve your sleep quality....Try 10 minutes, everyday, morning and/or afternoon, and sit still and focus on being aware when your thoughts occur. Observe your thoughts occurring and observe them diminishing without attaching to a thought. Overtime, this becomes a new habitat that causes a silencing of the mind and reducing rumination and any kind of unproductive thinking. In other words, sit still without reacting to the thoughts in your mind until your body learns to be unreactive and calm. Research meditation techniques until you find one that resonates with you. Slow moving Thai Chi is an excellent morning routine that also achieves the same outcome.... And yes, you start to sleep better as well! Hope it helps

The best lesson I ever learned from Alan Watts was that you don't need to sit quietly in order to meditate. Children were sent to the monastery to learn, and all children in every school everywhere are always told to "sit down and shut up." That's where the sitting idea of meditation came from. It was a way of controlling school children who didn't want to be there, and whose behaviour was disturbing the monks' meditation. So we told the children that meditation required "sit down and shut up."

When you stop trying to improve yourself, you simply do what comes naturally. You express your own nature, and observe the results. If you’re sensible, you do more things that bring joy, freedom, and expansiveness, and you stop doing things that bring about painful or disastrous results. Distillation of examining decades of life: you can’t help other people no matter how much you sacrifice yourself. So don’t do it. Betraying yourself creates a greater disaster for everyone involved than you could possibly imagine. This makes perfect sense when you recognize that we’re all one. What you do to yourself, you do to the other.

In my opinion, a carbon based organ that consists of approx. 85 billion clusters of neurons constantly forming new neural clusters and connections and adapting to our physical experiences; and subsequently, eliciting our behaviors on a conscious and subconscious level. All humans experience similar phenomenon with electrical impulses transducing through our axons evoking the magnitude of behaviors that are prevalent with humans.
