Before the first use after opening from the package. Then you can decide depending on use every 6mo for me. I use to clean up beard and buzz my head. They last forever if you treat them right!

@@jaja7830 Congratulations. Did you get this same model? If so its really good it gets pretty close without ever cutting you. There is a red model that goes even closer but the complain is it cuts people often. I have never cut myself so I enjoy this model.

@@JasonRamosNJ a long time ago i had a trimmer that did that...i feel you. I got wahl color pro as an entry level hair trimmer, its very smooth but not at all precise, also it doesnt have the "finger thing" to adjust the clippers more precisely, the whole bottom starts to bend and come off when trying to get the plastic attachmenent off of it. Honestly went with that specific one because wahl has a good reputation and i needed a sub 50 euro cordless hair clipper. Wouldnt go with it again to be honest, quality is just not to part. Also the color specs on the front are just silly, as if im stupid enough to not be able to read the guard sizes from the guards themselves or memorize the ones im using 😂 just makes it look goofy

@jaja7830 The one I use is the Chrome Pro. Plug 🔌 though I like the power behind it. Blades clip on and are solid. Not sure what's available around the world. I know it was $50 or less.
